How to use WAV samples?

WAV samples are totally possible with sample tool. The looping point feature is buggy though smkd said [citation needed].

My suggestion when using WAV files in sample tool though. Open them in audacity, split them to mono and set the samplerate to 16KHz. If your sample is looped, make sure the loop points are the start and the end, nothing else, click "Insert looped". If you have an unlooped sample, you're good to go and click "Insert".
I think a post layout goes here somewhere...

Umm, what does this help if you want to insert looped samples?
