For anyone interested, markyjoe1990 from YouTube is going to be doing a playthrough and commentary on SMW2+2 Worlds 1 through 2 (basically the latest demo). So far he's uploaded his video of 1-1.

Well, even though I'm done with all the levels, I'm taking this time to tweak things up in the hack. That means fixing all bugs, even minor ones, plus expanding onto the story by editing text throughout the game. Hopefully the wait will make it better. ;)
You are making me want to play YI now, which is bad because I'm anti-YI.
Man, YI hacking looks great. Too bad eggvine refuses to work on my computer...

Anyway, though, your level design seems very balanced. It looks like something you would find in the original game. Nice work!
I can actually use 1 or 2 more testers for the hack. S.N.N. and fabio have tested it already, and have helped me out a lot, however, I need someone to test it out in SNES9x, if possible. I discovered an issue that was occurring only in SNES9x, so I went back and fixed it, so I can use someone who can test it out in SNES9x to make sure everything is fixed and there are no other issues caused by that emulator.

If anyone is interested, please let me know, and if it's OK to use SNES9x to test it out. Thanks :).

I have about 2 more levels until this hack is 100% complete, level-wise. After that, there are some things here and there I'd like to tweak. So, I expect to release this hack sometime in March :).


Don't forget that Yoshi's Island DS only had five worlds in it and so will your hack.

Yes, I forgot about that detail. Make that two similarities then. ;)
1) Isn't the creature know as a Tap-Tap actually a red nose (hence Tap-Tap the Rad Nose)? Also, since you're partially cutting it off because of lack of space, why didn't you think of putting it up on the GBA version? Don't feel obliged but I feel like I'm the only one who thinks,"The Remake has more space. The remake could be used". This looks great though. I love the demo (the difficulty is better managed than SMW2+) and is a nice time waster. I once lost a half hour more than I gave my self when I gave my self only 10 minutes so I hope that makes you feel like it is better than expected.

Okay...EggVine does not support SMA3, it only supports the SNES version. I understand how you feel, it makes perfect sense, but that's kind of an unreasonable request. o_O
1) It was not a request. 2) I thought that Eggvine (I can't run it, I thought it was misprogramed or something) didn't work so you would have to use a universal SNES editor. That would mean it would be a hex editor. Then you could have just STARTED on SMA3 and had more, etc. Like I said though, don't feel obliged (I suppose it's unclear what I mean though. (due to modern useage) It means don't do it unless you want to.) (Did I spell that correctly?). Maybe once I'm better at programming I'll make a level editor for the Super Mario Advances (Is that correct pluralization?). Than I'll make this for that. Sorry for not wording things well.
No problem. I'm done with the hack anyway, so it'd be too late in any event. :P

It'd be nice if I didn't have to cut back on the levels, but overall, I think I managed to work things out well for a five-world hack. Since each world has a Secret level, that makes the total level count 50, only 4 less than the original SNES Yoshi's Island had. :)

Anyway, an update on the anticipated release date. The hack should be released between April 21 and 28. :D
