I think it was Sonikku who was working on this exact thing a month or two ago, I seem to recall seeing it on Discord. Someone correct me if I'm mistaken and I'm not sure if that's an abandoned project now.

i hope (small, possibly) bugfixes are okay...
i cannot get this line guide acts like patch to work with custom line guided sprites like this. i was hoping its a simple fix but since i'm rather new to smw's code its been taking me a long time to investigate by myself. it seems like the games default sprites work fine on other gfx header modes other than the rope ones with alternate tiles but this example does not.

similar with this better platforms patch. it seems like it should work properly with sprites that act like sprite 80 (the key) to move mario when he stands on them, but it does not (example: carryable pipe. this by default acts like p-switch, but i changed the cfg to act like sprite 80 but it still does not work. i even inserted the key disassembly as a custom sprite and it doesn't work with that either.)

i hope this isn't too much to ask. i would appreciate anything to decide to do regardless. thank you.

Maybe it'll sound weird, but could you make a SMB1 Firebar which takes less resources than the one we have in the section? That one easily doesn't appear when some sprites are on screen, unlike the SA-1 version of it.
I'd like to request a customizable version of the vanilla wendy or lemmy fight.

The main feature this would have, over the true vanilla sprite, is that you can define the x/y position in the .asm file and the sprites would work off those locations. No more hard-coded positions! This would allow much more varied fights using this vanilla sprite. Here is a picture of what I mean:

Extra options could include (if you're feeling bold):
- more than x7 locations
- more or less than 2 decoys
- wendy or lemmy GFX
- up/down speed
- # of hits
- wendy could shoot a fireball at mario when she goes back into the pipe
- decoys explode when hit
I would like to see a line guided fishing boo with a chain chomp instead of the flame. Maybe make the chain from the chain chomp a fire bar and have it fall off a line and change into a kuribo shoe that starts a custom auto scroll which slowly deletes blocks it stands on.

Dang it. Someone stole my idea!
Looks like you have alot here, but I give it a shot. A title screen that's playable untill L&R are pushed like smm2
A patch that changes button mappings and such of Super Mario World to be more like the button mappings in Super Mario World for the Game Boy Advance.

- The R button also makes Mario spin jump in addition to the A button

- The L button scrolls left or right depending on if mario is facing left or right.

That's it, if I had the skills I would do it myself. Or if someone wants to teach me then that is cool too.
