For a bit of background here: What the heck is Puyo Puyo?
Puyo Puyo is an action puzzle game series created by Compile in 1991. Sega has currently owned this franchise since 1998, along with the games after 2001 being developed by Sonic Team (a.k.a the guys who made the Sonic the Hedgehog series).

Puyo Pop Fever), Puyo Puyo Tetris (the most epic crossover IN HISTORY!) and most recently, Puyo Puyo eSports (a.k.a. Puyo Puyo Champions)!
