I've used Flips to patch the Base ROM to a clean, unmodified ROM (even used romclean) but everytime I do this, bsnes gives me the error "source size mismatch: please make sure you are using the correct (headerless) ROM for this patch."

I do not get the same results when patching the RHR Base ROM to the same clean ROM. I would prefer to use the KLDC Base ROM however. Is there a way to fix this or should the error be ignored?

Since the error is caused by BSNES and not by Flips, that could be the side effect of soft patching i.e. BSNES notices that a BPS and a ROM of the same name is found and applies it to the ROM. The problem here is that the ROM is already patched. Try to move either the BPS and the ROM to different folders or deactivate soft patching in the settings (don't ask me where exactly since I practically don't use BSNES).

Okay, my layout looks ugly.
I was hasty when I was packing stuffs in kldc2017 base ROM v4, and somehow ended up including an older version of retry. As a consequence, it does not reset the game properly in levels that use some of LM3.00+'s new level heights/widths modes.

Here's an instruction to fix the issue if your level suffers from it.

Step 1. Download this file https://bin.smwcentral.net/u/1250/retry.asm and replace "common patches/do_not_modify/retry.asm" with this.
Step 2. Execute "save_common_patch_settings.bat" to apply the modification.

This change also applied to the base ROM link (https://bin.smwcentral.net/u/1250/kldc_base_v4.7z). Sorry for the stupid mistake.

As far as I know, you can't submit anything that is too difficult and about Kaizo Light. You see it's 'Kaizo'

The only rule on difficulty is that it must be clearable without the use of savestates. As long as it's RTA-viable, go ham, but be sure it really is beatable without savestates. If a judge feels the level is beyond the ability of anyone to do without external tools, the level will be DQ'd.

Do all judges have the same randomized order they play the levels in like they had in VLDC11 or do they play them as they feel like?

Basically, I believe in peace and bashing two bricks together.
As they feel like. They've all been given the same set (everyone's entry 1 is the same, for example), but they are taking different approaches to what order they play in.
