What is your favorite text font?

Very simple question.

What is your favorite text font?

My favorite would have to be Papyrus.

"Depends on medium and purpose" would probably be the sensible answer, but as a pure gut reaction I might go with FF Meta or Franklin Gothic. There's definitely some I like more that I'm forgetting.


Careful with that opinion in the wild! Papyrus is about as hated as Comic Sans. (I actually have no quarrel with it, possibly due to memories of playing Pharaoh.)

Yeah, I'm actually surprised some people like Papyrus (unless it's mostly ironic thanks to Undertale), I've never thought of it as something that really looks all that nice.

I don't have any too unique choices in favorite font, since whenever I actually need to type something out I'm pretty much always required to use Arial or, more commonly, Times New Roman. Sometimes I write random crap in Wingdings or Webdings if I'm messing around with friends or whatever.

I also really like the Old Standard font, since something about it always gives me a rather nostalgic/powerful feel thanks to its association with old novels.

I really like MS Gothic. Something about it just vibes with me.

I also liked its use on Final Fantasy VIII's PC version.

Monaco, all the way. I love monospace, and since almost all monospace fonts don’t have a slashed zero, Monaco is easily the best.

probably a font you've never heard of, but i tend to use Prenton RP for a lot of things. not sure how i stumbled across it but i guess it makes it a favourite of mine.

I have always liked Papyrus for some reason in that it looked different from a boring font (such as Arial) and was still easy to read. I don't really have an opinion on Comic Sans.



Although I do like Sans and Papyrus from Undertale, they did not make me like the fonts any more. Undertale wasn't even released when I took my liking to Papyrus.

Segoe UI is the best font ever. It's comfortable when I read texts.
It also supports Microsoft ClearType Technology since Windows Vista.

I'm a big fan of Sans Serif fonts. They have a clean and modern look to them and work quite well in a lot of occasions.

A personal favorite of mine is Google's Roboto font, which I'm currently using in my layout. Mont is also a font I've been using in some of my artwork for my streams and whatnot.
