it's not really unfair since you were the one who lost the privileges. you could show your friends your level, but otherwise there is no other avenue to show off progress.
OK, but why can't any trustworthy people show off anything made by banned users who they can actually trust? This rule is dumb.
First off, I'm not even entirely sure what you're saying in this sentence. Secondly, like idol said, you lost your privilege to use our Discord server, and as a result you've lost the ability to show things off there. It's an extension of your punishment for having been banned even if it was not foreseen at the time. Your best option is to show your friends the level and get feedback from them at this point.
And to go along with what Gloomy just posted, definitely don't give a friend your level screens to show off and gather feedback on in discord on your behalf because that would extend your ban even longer, or revoke your ability to appeal in the future entirely.
Oy, that time when you suddenly develop "writer's ? block" about halfway into making the level, at nearly 4 AM at night... There's about 8 hours left, and I really want to finish what I've started, but sleep is important too. Uhhh...
EDIT (5:35 AM): Oh, and of course, I've run into completely unexpected snags with how I wanted to end the level, and it's way too late now and I'm way too tired to try to figure out any workarounds... Welp, I'm gonna just have to submit this level with this flawed ending.
Overall the contest was fun and I'll try to make more levels in the future. I don't like my stage much but...
People in the discord were like "yeah this looks good stop being so mean to yourself" but I can't help it, I was one of those """""gifted children""""" growing up. It's been beat into my head to overachieve until burnout lol
With the fix period over, the judges can now begin their jobs (once we receive the levels in a randomized order from one of the other staff members). Speaking of judges...let's reveal who they are:
Your judges for 24hoSMW #12 are FPzero, bebn legg, Tahixham, and E-man38!
I'll admit I didn't expect what appears to be 66 entries when we launched the contest yesterday lmao. I remember volunteering for this saying "oh it's a 24hosmw, it's a smaller contest and i'll be fine with that". NOPE. hahaha you all exceeded expectations. I'm really interested to see what you've all made! Wish us luck!
