At last, Super Mario: The Machigian Adventure returns to the public!



Sorry that It's taken me this long to get any information about this hack out, but the long wait's over!

In this thread, you can expect to hear the latest updates on the hack every one-to-two weeks! This information is anything from some slight overworld changes, to revealing a new level.

Currently, World 1 is about 97% done
Word 2 is about 78% done
The rest are barely started, with only the basic layout in mind,
Hopefully by Summer, at least World 3 is done.


Another thing I have prepared for this thread is a new demo of the hack!

I really like the World Map, it's good looking and colorful, with a lot of variation in the shapes of each piece of land, with nice details unique to each one.

I also like what you did to the borders on the overworld, the blue shade is good and the other touches are all nice.

The animation on the water looks nice, the soft colors on the entire hack is also good, adds to the relaxing feel. The use of varied colors is something I like too, the parallax scrolling looks nice and the visuals in general (trees, scenery, etc) are also good looking.

The levels are also pretty good, I like the puzzle in the Switch Palace, although it can be broken easily if someone uses the item from their inventory. Rex Athletics has some pretty cool level design.
I've noticed the Star Coins respawn every time you enter the area they're in, even if you've already collected them. I don't know if that's intentional or not, so I'm just mentioning.

In general, it's a pretty fun hack so far, and I actually like being able to choose whichever level I want. The Ice Flower was also nicely implemented, it's easily the most fun power-up to use in this game.

I'm looking forward to see more of this later on.

Oh, so you want me to tell you about my recent crimes? Hm... I've downloaded a ROM for a game I don't physically own and pirated some music.
Not much work on levels in the past weeks, so here's the current maps of World 1 and World 2:



Any thoughts?
I love the palettes from the overworld, and the overworld design looks pretty good

But why world 2, world 7 and world 10 are mixed in one submap?
There's some really lovely art design in here. Good job!

World 2, 7, and 10 are on the main map.
Other worlds on the main map include worlds 3, 4, 6, and 9.
I'm really loving the designs of these maps and their general aesthetic! I think the first screenshot looks a little overdecorated though. Also, having a desert be relatively close to the clouds seems a little odd to me but on second thought who cares if it's a mario game. Nice work!
