While I missed this contest (and would love to do a submission for VLDC,) I think I get what he's implying: it's a morale killer when you submitted a level for a contest, and months pass, and there's no feedback yet, it makes you question if it was serious enough to warrant the effort since it seems to have been forgotten. I recall in the past if one judge was taking way too long, and people are antsy to know how they did, they just went with the results of the two judges that finished to wrap it up with some closure, but that may have been one extreme case: I think we waited longer than how long this contest has been closed before we ended up doing that.
Of course, with C3 being planned and happening right in between these 2 contests and the huge resulting backlog of files to moderate, as well as whatever people have going on in real life (it coincides with the end of online courses too for anyone school-aged,) makes it more understandable to me that the results aren't in. It's entirely possible everyone's still got some levels to finish playing with the odd timing.
Romano338, I can assure you I have never seen this site do a complete cop-out on official contest judging. It is also not uncommon for multiple events to overlap in time here, though anything concluding around C3 like I said is going to see staggering delays. I agree with progress teasers like idol is/was doing to give people faith (and laughs.)
Just look above you... If it's something that can be stopped, then just try to stop it!
How many entries were there? I hope it's all right to ask this. Last time I heard like around 65 or so, but now I think there's more. I saw someone playing them on Twitch. Also, does anyone know if Raocow is going to play the entries?
Idol said the results will be released this month and can be announced on average around August 15.
I know that CLDC and VLDC judges are not the same people and this is a good advantage.
I think it will be announced soon.
Let's be a little bit more patient
