SMWCP2 - The New To-Do List

Note: Anything with an asterisk in the checkbox [*] means that it has the possibility of not making the final cut for the game. If these revamps do not make the final cut, the originals will be used.

[-] Level: Hub (Unclaimed) - While the original plans for the hub are scrapped (if there truly were any at all), it will at least exist. A typical "Yoshi's House" format will be used (as suggested by idol).

[-] Level: Koura Crevice - This just needs to be inserted. I revamped the level since Dr. Tapeworm has been inactive project-wise for a while now.

[*] Level: Stormy Stronghold (MrDeePay) - MrDeePay has been held up by some real life stuff, so the revamp in the level's design is unfinished. The original version may need to be used if MrDeePay is unable to work on it for too long a time. I'm not sure how things are going in terms of graphics. Considering the plans for the project, they should probably stay the same unless someone is actively working on them.

[-] Level: Chilly Colors (Falconpunch) - Falconpunch should be done soon on this.

[-] Level: Smoldering Shrine (Falconpunch) - Falconpunch should be done soon on this.

[-] Level: Nexus Norvegicus (Falconpunch) - This was never finished, but Falconpunch is willing to do so. Just in case problems in the finished part of the level have not been fixed yet, my playtesting comments should be used as a reference.

[-] Level: awakening (Falconpunch, maybe Lightvayne and Minish Yoshi) - Falconpunch is working on this, but I'm not sure if there are plans to finish. In the newest BaseROM, the level seems to corrupt the game (this may be beacuse there isn't actually an enterable level there, at least to the extent of my knowledge). Anger needs to be revamped and some SMWC coins might need to be placed in the level. I could try to help with the level, mostly just revamping Anger. Additionally, Lightvayne seems to have expressed some interest in revamping the section. (Also, if Anger is to be finished, I'd like to put it right before Depression, and then having the game officially end there; it would make it more of a poignant moment, but that is just me.)

[*] Submap: Sky World - Continent's Crest (Falconpunch) - Falconpunch wants to revamp the map and has started a little bit on it (I think) so this is a maybe. The old version is a decent replacement if the new submap isn't finished though.

[*] ASM: Hindenbird Boss (NerDose) - I think NerDose is working on this one at the current moment, although I'm not sure how everything is going.

[-] ASM: Doc Croc Boss (MarioFanGamer) - I'm pretty sure MarioFanGamer is almost done coding this boss.

[*] ASM: Status Screen (Unclaimed) - While most of this is fine, the progress bar that marks the percentage of the game you have completed at any given time does not update when anything is done. It should either be removed or fixed.

[*] ASM: Cutscenes - I don't know what the plans are for cutscenes. Just the opening one? If no-one wants to insert these or we plan to just not include them, then the cutscenes will be scrapped.

[-] ASM: Credits sequence (Unclaimed) - This is being saved for last, and I think it is pretty important.

[-] Music: End of an Era (Torchkas) - Torchkas is working on this; since it is the credits theme (I think) then it is pretty important for the project.

[-] Music: Machine-Made Mayhem (KungFuFurby) - I'm pretty sure KungFuFurby is working on the song right now.

[-] Music: Bamboo Bustle (Torchkas) - According to KungFuFurby, Magi revamped the song and Torchkas planned to port it. I am unsure how that is going, so this may be open for anyone to work on.

[*] Music: Entrance (Unclaimed) - While this song's revamp is half complete, Dr. Tapeworm hasn't given any updates for a while (at least to my knowledge). The revamp will likely have to be scrapped unless someone is willing to finish it.

[*] Music: Parched Polyphony (Unclaimed) - Dr. Tapeworm has apparently completed most of this revamp, but has been inactive for a while. The revamp will likely be scrapped unless someone is willing to finish it.

Once this to-do list is finished and a new BaseROM is released, the game will be ready for playtesting.
We're very close to finishing this collab all over again, so Blind Devil and I have listed out what we need finishing in order of priority. Hopefully, this should inform people exactly what we are looking for to get the project done.

Particularly, ASM stuff. ...please someone with good asm help us
Unfortunately, I'm not very active on the site anymore like I was before; I'm mainly on Discord now. Thanks for understanding.
