Interestingly, line guided sprites use a custom block interaction which is independent of the tileset. As such, you just need to put e.g. the rope graphics in BG2/3 and build the Map16 from there on.
They do have a different limitation: They only check for the Map16 number but not for their acts like settings. As such, it's best to apply
this to fix this bug.
