Pipes as midways help?

So I've been using the multi-midway patch for setting checkpoints in subworlds; which works great, however I was wondering how to just use a pipe for the midway enterance. I'm sure I've seen this in a few hacks already and was wondering what they used to achieve this.

A secondary option could be to make the midway tape object invisible, if thats something you can do.

Any help would be greatly appriciated!

If you're using the retry system for midway points, open the retry_table.asm file and scroll down to the ".checkpoint" table, then change the corresponding value for the level to 01; this will cause the midway point in that sublevel to send Mario to the midway entrance in that sublevel, so you can just edit the entrance settings in LM for it.

If you're using the older multiple midway point patch, each midway point can be directed to a sublevel's midway point or to a secondary entrance. Just set the level to use one of those and edit the entrance's settings in LM.
