DANG IT, THE ROM IS 3,072 KB, SO I CAN'T ALTER THE ROM TO BE A SATELLAVIEW DOWNLOAD BECAUSE IT CANNOT FIT INTO 8M MEMORY PACKS (1,024 KB). AND IT SUPPORTS SPECIAL CHIPS!!!
--------------------------------------------------
Also, in BS Super Mario Collection, you can freely play levels during the broadcast, and once you finished them all you can redo them to get a high score. Music does not depend on progress.

The chips are specifically to emulate the satellaview quirks and mechanics. It would be possible without :)
After having played the first week, I am rather underwhelmed in the attempt (if any) to emulate the format of a Satellaview broadcast. There was no apparent timed events bar the sixty minute timer itself (In an actual broadcast most of the time you don't even get the full sixty, its more like around ~50 minutes, time being trimmed from both the start and end of the broadcast hour.)
The MSU-1 soundtrack was a nice addition though was structured nothing like a radio broadcast of a BSX session, this is however just a more minor nitpick.
Perhaps looking into the BS Super Mario Collection broadcasts could help structure the flow closer to what a Satellaview broadcast would be like? As it currently stands its a pretty paper thin disguised MSU-1 unnamed Super Mario World hack.

We will look into it for future broadcasts, though as it stands any actual conversation enhancements would be hard to do sheerly due to the actors involved. Satellaview broadcasts typically used music that was either licensed or from the albums we used to base the ost off of specifically for this project, such as the Mario World arrange album (used in BS Collection and BS USA). Sorry it did not live up to your standards

Unless you tried to download this in the 5 minute downtime between updates, it shouldn't be.

I've got the same thing as well too but with this error.

Again it could be my internet or I using Microsoft Edge to download it

Maybe you should upload the hack to a other file sharing site like mediafire.

I updated the download to use Google Drive instead of Mega. Hopefully that works instead.

Any advice for getting this to work on a Mac? Flips is kinda broken and using Multipatch gives me an error saying that the patch failed, which sucks because I'm desperate to try this out.

You can also use any online patcher that supports bps files.

I've tried, but even when doing that the game doesn't work. It just gives me an endless black screen

EDIT: Using the sfc extension with hack64 gives me a working product, but the music isn't loading properly. Will investigate further
EDIT 2: Should also mention I'm using OpenEmu

Please use Snes9x 1.60 or the newest BSNES for the most optimal experience.

Well yeah, I am. OpenEmu has the option to use multiple "cores", and both the BSNES core and the Snes9x core don't work.
I'm truly sorry if I'm being an annoyance, this project is just super cool looking. I'll try again once the entire thing is released

It's entirely possible OpenEmu uses outdated Cores. Additionally, make sure you the have the msu and pcm files in the same folder as your smc/sfc, and that the smc/sfc has the same name as the msu/pcm files (in this case, bssmw).
Very neat presentation and a novel hack idea. I know only what could be found in wiki pages and some videos about the Satellaview. It must have been a hell of a ride for those experiencing the game-show like broadcasts in the 90s.

The First Broadcast demo was a lot of fun to play. I look forward to seeing more of this, good work.

Thank you! We're continuing to polish constantly, so the final version will offer a bit more content to that broadcast as well.

Additionally, we're now moving on to World 4. Here's a sneak at some progress below...
