Which games do you like that everyone else hates?

Sonic R
Kirby Super Star for the SNES. Honestly one my all time favorite Kirby games along with Kirby's Dreamland and Kirby Planet Robobot. But nobody seems to care about this game, While everyone else Is praising that worthless, horribly butt ugly piece of shit remake for being so """"""""perfect"""""""" over the obviously far better original, Honestly it is the exact opposite of perfect! Don't even get me started one that wretched pile of garbage! I have so so... so much hatred for the remake! It is literally the Nintendo equivalent of a crappy Disney "Live-Action" Remake! Sorry about droning on... So that's all I could think of.
I've already mentioned this in a similar thread in the past, but because it just got me into a Twitter argument, it's worth mentioning again. I actually love Metroid Other M. Sure, it's not perfect, and I agree with some of the criticism, but I think it's just a damn fun game, and I think in some aspects it's even better than most other Metroid games. I think if some of its aspects had been done better (mainly the controls and some of the story issues), it would have been a cult classic. The way it is, the game's bad aspects overshadow everything else for most people.

I also really love Skyward Sword. I find that how much someone enjoys the games is directly proportional to how much they enjoy the motion controls. I always loved the motion controls, so I enjoyed the game a lot. Will probably be playing it without the motion controls on the Switch, since I love playing in handheld mode, and am wondering if that'll make the game less enjoyable for me.
Feel free to visit my website/blog - it's updated rarely, but it looks pretty cool!
This is really specific but WWE Smackdown! vs RAW 2008. It's a game many people don't like for very good reason. It's the follow-up of two beloved Pro Wrestling games and is in a series that many people think of when they think of "Wrestling Video Games".

The new mechanics added did nothing to improve gameplay, and actually hindered gameplay in some situations. The added "abilities" limited move-sets, such as preventing the Undertaker from performing more intense movies like his signature Dive over the Top Rope. Gameplay as a whole was also slower than ever, with a lot of moves feeling floaty and sluggish. 24/7 Mode replaced Season Mode, which was an awful move. Especially since 24/7 Mode felt soulless compared to Season Mode. You couldn't even have GM Mode and a Wrestling Career running on the same copy because they put GM Mode INSIDE of 24/7 Mode.

Despite this and so many other issues, I still love this game. I've put so much time and effort into it over the years. Custom Championships, Custom Wrestlers, a nearly full "Hall of Fame" status, close to everything unlocked. It's nowhere near my favorite wrestling game at all, but I don't consider it to be as bad as everyone else does.
Imagining a world without Asar... no way.
Super Mario 3D Land. Though its successor was better, to me, that was the first 3D Mario game that they finally got right. I much prefer the Crash Bandicoot-esque level-based linear style over the "do the same level with slight differences 6-8 times" kind of thing that some of the others do (on that note, I consider Super Mario 64 one of the most overrated games of all time), and it saddens me that that style is often thought of as barely even being a 3D platformer. Why are collectathons so frequently considered the default kind of 3D platformer? Those are what I would say barely count as platformers, more like a variant of tedious busywork action-adventure games.

I also unironically like Mega Man X6. I will fully admit that it is a very flawed game, but I actually thought some of the things it did were interesting, and a lot of the problems that it did have weren't that hard to overcome. For that matter, I didn't think Mega Man X7 was all that bad. In general, I think Mega Man X as a series is less consistent in its quality—and worse on average—than classic Mega Man is.

I'm working on a hack! Check it out here. Progress: 64/95 levels.

I agree with your thoughts, though in my opinion what killed it was the difficulty. It was ridiculously easy.

Another one for me would be Saints Row: The Third. Funny enough, I recall saying how I didn't get why this was in Angry Joe's No 1 spot for disappointing games of 2011 in some other thread nine years ago. I don't remember what it was called, nor do I feel like digging through my old posts. My opinion now: After playing through Saints Row Two and what it was going to set up, I can kind of see why people were disappointed with the third game. (At least I think.) Even though I now prefer Saints Row Two over this, I still do enjoy playing through it from start to finish. Hell, I even managed to platinum the remastered version on PS4. So I still have a guilty pleasure with it. I was going to add Saint's Row Four on here as well as I do have guilty pleasure of that as well, but I've been having that less and less. While I think the gameplay is fine, the premise is stupid. Like, aliens?! Seriously?! This should've been a dlc expansion, not a mainline entry game! We're suppose to be fighting other gangs, not aliens!

I was thinking of adding Neptunia: Virtual Stars on here because I find the game to be fun. (Though, I could care less about the story.) But, I haven't finished it yet. So I'll have to wait and see if my opinion of it changes.

I concur; SM3DL was quite easy (for the most part), which dumbed down the whole experience for me. Thankfully, the game actually starts to get a little more challenging once you get into the extra "S" worlds. Some levels are reused, but made more difficult. Of course, if you are looking for a real challenge in SM3DL, you can always play
S8-Crown
. I beat it two times, once with Mario and no powerups and once as Luigi with a Tanooki suit. This was the very last part of my 100% run of the game, and I was stuck on it for a long while. I'd say my overall ability when it comes to playing video games has improved since I played that level, but it still remains a tough challenge.
