pretty cool stuff, especially the underground bg.
Thanks for sharing #tb{:]}

Well, actually no. It only uses ExAnimation for the water and its reflection.

Thanks you all for the complements. I wish I could bring even more Mega Man stuff, but I didn't have much time to make something even more ambitious. For Ganbare Goemon, I think I ripped almost everything that matters.

I really like these rips! Impressive that you did one from Mega Man 8
These look really good! Again, really nice work in both picking and putting them together.

I'm especially fond of the water barrage - it reminds me of one of TSRPR's levels which was themed around a waterway, perhaps one of the most unique themes I've seen in hacking. I hope this background inspires people to revisit it!
It's easily the best thing I've done
So why the empty numb?
Good Megaman BGs. Really good.
Impressive! Curious to know what surprises you have for the next few days.

very nice, 100% effort!

Keep your spirits high, and your noodle sweaty!
DAY THREE

Reapity-ripping! What time of day it is? Yes, ripping showcase. This one is a bit exotic compared to the other ones. I'm gonna throw a curve ball this time, because these backgrounds are a bit more specific than the others that I posted.

And it’s not from one series of games. No. It’s from five different games. Let’s take a look at what’s included in the JRPG Pack!

Final Fantasy V – Ancient Library (Battle Background)

Another resource that I was going to maintain “exclusive” to my hack. I showcased it already and maybe, some of you have seen it before. So you can have this one too. A very nice background that only uses one slot.This background has a different perspective from the usual one, so I recommend use it only if you know what you are doing. Can fit maybe some cutscenes or some boss fight. If you know how to make JRPG-y stuff in SMW, you can’t go wrong with this one. This one doesn't loop completely, so it shall be used with BG Scroll: None, None.

Trials of Mana – Dark Castle

I’ll be honest with you. I never played Seiken Densetsu 3, but I always admired its spritework. It’s a very beautiful JRPG from SNES. I saw that most of the nice backgrounds were ripped, but not this one. So there you go, you can have it now. Yay!

Treasure Hunter G – Mountains

Another hidden gem from Super Famicom, this JRPG differentiates itself with a tactical battle system. I loved to play through it and the OST is phenomenal. This background is used for some mountainous areas (iirc), but I ripped it from the ending of the game. I recommend to set BG scroll to NONE, NONE in this one, since I didn’t find a way to loop it correctly.

Terranigma – Hitoderon and Gossie

A background from one of my favorite JRPGs from SNES. You may be thinking “but, there’s already a background of it in the site”.

Indeed, but that one isn’t a complete rip, but rather, some clever edits to economize space. This time around is the full background itself, including even the skeleton dragon from the background. This background took me a bit of time to make loop properly but I did it.

Rudra no Hihou – Mantra Peak (Night)

Another resource that I planned to keep exclusively to my hack. It’s a very gorgeous mountain background from one of my favorite JRPGs of Squaresoft in the Super Famicom.

And there is the JRPG Pack!

The final day is near, so be aware, because the last rips will be VERY SPECIAL.

The Rudra no Hihou background is quite beautiful, though all over your rips have an excellent quality so far! It's impressive to see how many yet complex backgrounds you ripped.
In my opinion you did a fantastic job with that! #smw{:TUP:}

Impressive work on these backgrounds! The Rudra no Hihou and the one of Trials of Mana are really beautiful #smw{:TUP:}
Just some Ys fan lol
Well, I loved the Toxic Seahorse! Great job with all these dude, awesome stuff
Those graphic rips seem are all great. I appreciate the fact that you took the time to describe accurately how they should be used (regarding scrolling settings, for example) and a bit of context from the game they were ripped. Awesome work!
Really into these as well, especially the last one. The night mountain setting is actually inspiring. I might put that to some use in my own hack #smw{:peace:}
It's easily the best thing I've done
So why the empty numb?
Always nice to see some ripped backgrounds again to play with. You're doing a service man, keep it up!

DAY FOUR

C3 is ending, and so are my rips...So let’s move to the grand finale. The moment you’ve waiting for! And to finish this spectacle...

I’m going crazy and post ten rips at once! Yeah, I’m not joking, ten rips!. Now, let’s take a look at the duo pack of Super Valis IV and Castlevania, shall we?

SUPER VALIS IV

Super Valis IV – Vecanti

The first stage of Valis IV from SNES. It’s a very fiery and simple background. I love this game so much, except for the unfair stages 5 and 6, but, oh well, it’s a very fun game if you are accostumed to games like Castlevania Dracula X.

Super Valis IV – Castle Vanity

An space background that uses parallax in the original game. Since I was very busy this week, I didn’t had time to make some parallax stuff, so sorry about that. Fun fact: I only noticed the “flying turtle thing” in the background while ripping it.

Super Valis IV – Babylon

This background fits perfectly for some kinda of mountain level or ruins. It’s a simple background like the first one, but this one has parallax in the original game. The mountains move at different speed than the walls.

Super Valis IV – Valhalla (Outside)

A very nice grassland background. It’s used in the fourth level from the game, where, like the name implies, your main enemies are valkyries. I already mentioned that the stages in this game are very short?

Super Valis IV – Valhalla (Inside the Church)

The background from the second half of Valhalla. It has some nasty Valkyries that spams infinitely and flies like Medusa-heads. It’s an amazing vitral background, great for some cathedral levels or stuff like that.

CASTLEVANIA SERIES

Castlevania: Dracula X – Water Ruins (Stage 5’)

This background took me a lot of time to rip correctly. Sadly, I only managed to rip one half of it. Konami and their magic tricks with these gigantic backgrounds. Since it doesn’t loop, I reccomend BG Scroll : None, None. It’s one of the most beautiful stages in this game.

Castlevania: Circle of the Moon – Machine Tower

A very simple background with lots of pipe that can work great in sewers or maybe an industrial level? Looping it took some time, but eventually, I managed it. Who would expect that this background is from a Castlevania game? Ah yes, this section has nasty medusa heads to annoy the player.

Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance – Sky Walkway (First Room)

I was quite surprised to see that there isn’t rips of Harmony of Dissonance, but then I remembered that a lot of backgrounds from this game don’t stand too much, even though it’s one of my favorite Castlevania in GBA. This one had to suffer some color loss because it would consume whopping four palette rows, because of the painting in the background. A very nice background that can fit castle levels.

Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance – Skeleton Cave A (Skeleton Glass Room)

Well, like I said, there isn’t too much cool backgrounds in this game, but then I found this simple, but effective background from Skeleton Cave A. In the walls of it, are Slogra and Gaibon skeletons. This one can fit some mysterious ruins or a tomb, maybe.

Castlevania: Rondo of Blood – Stage 3 (Giant Candles)

This simple and nice background is one of my favorite from this game. The infamous chapel room with giant candles. I was kinda sad when they changed it in the Dracula X Chronicles for some muddy cave and generic long candlesticks. And what is better than a beautiful and simple background? A beautiful and simple background that uses only one EXGFX. I wanted to rip this thing for so long. Also, the stalagmites use parallax in the original game.

You can download this nice stuff here.

And that’s it for my C3. I hope you all enjoyed the showcase of my rips and maybe use some of them in your hacks, who knows. Thank you for watching this show!Thanks for visiting my C3, and I hope you’ve had fun. The end!

OBS: I plan to upload all this stuff in the graphics section, but only after I fullfil my duties as helper. Some time after the C3.

I liked the backgrounds, congratulations!
I will use one of them in the hack I'm working on.
These new graphics are great! Will download 'em for sure!
Just some Ys fan lol
These are all really nice tilesets, I can see people making some really atmospheric levels with these.
Valis? You mean the franchise with the worst gameplay ever but the best waifu Yuuko? Of course, i'm in! All the graphics are beautiful but the garden is perfect with by parallax (as in the original game).
Hell! Yuuko deserves a better game. not as the last one, lol

Thanks for sharing!
Exclusive content and nostalgia!
Those rips are really impressive! Amazing work Anorakun!
