A couple weeks ago Jesus came to me in a dream and he told me a hard truth: "C3 is coming up, so do something for it!!!!" and I answered "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA".
So yeah, I didn't have great plans or anything, but I wanted to make something so I decided to go with a SNES soundtrack (who would've guessed), and I found a rather short one that I really liked: Radical Dreamers.
This game is Chrono Trigger's sequel, but maybe a lot of people don't know much about it or haven't played it. The soundtrack was entirely composed by Mitsuda, of course (and he did in 3 months, apparently?), and a good amount of its tracks were remade for Chrono Cross on the PSX. Since I finished the main songs (15 in total) earlier than expected, I also included all the ambience tracks as well (bringing it up to 23 songs), 'cause why not. And this time I also compiled the sample pack immediately, instead of waiting for months like last time
(some samples are the same as Chrono Trigger, but a lot of them are new!).
Anyway, here's the soundtrack: Download.
And here's the sample pack: Download.
Bonus: to make the porting process a bit easier, I updated PetiteMM, with some bugfixes and more importantly added the feature of generating instrument, volume and panning commands on the output mml file (in macro format, so they're easier to edit). The suggested volumes and pannings are not that accurate most of the time, so you'll have to edit them. And of course, volume and pan fades will result in a spam of v/y commands, so fix those or face bebn's rage.
If you're interested, you can download it from here: Download.
