Tip: Bad things to do in the title demo: Enter a door or a pipe, activate a P-switch or a star, complete the level, hit a message block, or die. These will either glitch the music, or force the player into an endlessly looping title level until they reset the game. Not logged in.

yes its me again
I want to change the "nintendo presents" sound effect for the spinjump sound effect using addmusick, i need to know where can i found a spinjump sound effect with a format compatible with addmusick

My layout looks ulgy
It's much easier than that - you can just edit the ROM's code to play a different sound effect instead.

Save this as an .asm file and apply it to your ROM with Asar:

Code
org $0093C1
db $04 ; spin jump sound effect

If you want a different one, a list of sound effects can be found here (you want the ones listed under $1DFC).

This method won't work if using AddmusicK: the tool changes the "Nintendo Presents" sound effect with a song instead, and also it modifies the same spot as that hex edit, so it would be overwritten when you run AMK again.
If you want to have it play the spin jump sfx, open AddmusicK/asm/SNES/tweaks.asm and find this part:
Code
org $0093C0
LDA.b !NintPresents
STA $1DFB|!SA1Addr2

and change it with this:
Code
org $0093C0
LDA #$04
STA $1DFC|!SA1Addr2
Oh that's actually good to know, thanks!

so then yep, what KevinM said.

Keep in mind that while Kevin's answer is correct, there is a technical reason why AMK uses music and not an actual sound effect for Nintendo Presents. The proper solution is to convert the spin jump to an actual music file, though that might be a bit difficult.

Okay, my layout looks ugly.
thanks so much for the help! im gonna try it

Okay, I converted the spin jump sfx to a song for you, you can get it here. Insert it with Addmusic in a new song slot, then in tweaks.asm change "!NintPresents" to its number in the list.txt. If you want to change the volume, edit the "w200" in the song txt file.
