Like this! Nice work on it. Good choice on the instruments used and the melodies are perfect and do not clash in the slightest. I want more :)
Thanks so much, guys ^_^

This is kind of a regular thing for us, so if you're interested, keep an eye out for more :b

Composition.

I know I usually don't post here, but I think this one deserves it. Learning chord theory really seems to be helping.

Thanks for the comments on the team song too, guys!

Just finished listening to it. Really good! I've never done a chip tune before or really listened to one but I'm liking this song. My head was kind of swaying to the rhythm.

I like the little background synths and sweep sounds placed around the song that popped up every once in a while too. Nicely done. :)
Hey guys! I thought I'd give creating an original video game soundtrack a shot! The tracks themselves will hold a simplistic structure of typically an Intro, verse, chorus etc. but sometimes I will include a bridge part/middle 8 and others. I am focusing on melody with them too, so hopefully I can come up with a few that will stick in your head!

Here's a piece entitled 'Mystery Sands' (I just love me deserts!) set in an arabian area at around dusk time.

Wow, nice! I saw a comment on that video. You use Pro Tools? No wonder that sounded so professional. The percussion sounds really great. That bass line is really awesome as well. Great work, and the quality is unbelievable. I guess that is what you get when you use a DAW such as Pro Tools. Great composition, you nailed what you set out to do in means of atmosphere and a melody sticking in your head.
Yeah, as I stated on YT the track is awesome, and I'm totally going to check out those samples. The sky one is great too, so I'm looking forward to hearing more.
Thanks for the feedback guys, it means a lot!

Here's an update: Mystery Sands Boss Theme

I tried to keep a very similar sound as the original level theme with this one, it's still a work in progress, however this is more than likely the main bulk of the song.

Once again, awesome! I like the similarities between this and the normal theme. That recurring slide sine/square-ish sounding lead is a nice touch once again.

Ok. So for the past few months I've been practicing my music production skills a lot. I was not proud of my earlier work. So I've put in many hours on this track and I'm really proud of it and I think it's ready to be shared. Whether you think it sucks or not, feedback is much appreciated. It's progressive house so it picks up gradually.

Separation Anxiety.
Jonny: Good work. I've never listened to many vocal mixes, but this is pretty nice, especially around :40 when the bouncy synth thing kicks in.
Overall enjoyed, so keep it up.

Kc: Great as always - you hit the nail on the head in that the two tracks are very similar in theme, and the sine synth is great too.

My, we're starting to develop a little pool of musicians feedbacking each other.
This is a little dance I wrote.... called island dance!

It's a tropical melody that is playful and pretty catchy. If this tune sounds familiar I did a version or two a long time ago...

(It's been literally YEARS since I frequented this place)

Please enjoy and tell me what you think. =)

This really reminds me of this here especially when it starts picking up.
Anyway, good instrument choices, awesome melodies. I cans see why this was in your head for so long! Pretty awesome tune :)
Very cool, SNN! I like the far-east feel I get. It's very calming... You truly are a master of your craft. :)

Alright, here's something I'm doing for my hack (which has been scrapped and redone)

This is an orchestration (A simple one) of a very familiar oceanside theme.

I call it "Seafoam" or "Oceanside".

This is really, really nice. I'd raise the volume of the melody in the section before 0:30ish, but after that, it's perfect. I love your transitions, too, especially where the flute seamlessly takes over the melody. The orchestration itself just feels very smooth and easy to listen to.

Excellent work on this!
SNES Samples + OpenMPT

Yes, it's short. It was written for something that I ultimately decided to not enter.
Check out my music!
All the songs posted recently are very well done! I really like them.

Here is something that is just a WIP. It's basically the idea of a full track that is being worked on at the moment.

which is ripped from a deadmau5 song "Sometimes Things Get, Whatever."

Enjoy!
