Show off your musical creations here

I wasn't actually planning on showing this one, but i said "what the hell". I seriously need to lay off the calliope+piano combo, i've used it about 4/5 times recently.

Here it is.
Later.
Well I tried something new, and weird stuff. This is progress of house song (I quess) which is kinda glitchy and has stuff from other genres. I tried to keep song basic things, going still offbeat and having some new effects, still trying to remain my own style. Hope you like it.
Here. I'd like to hear commentfrom this weird track. (unfinished)
@ShadowFire

Pretty cool re-instrumentated version, one thing I would work on a little however is the volumes of the tracks, things like bringing the main melody down into the mix a little and having the drums and rhythm sections cutting through slightly more, this will make it sound much more exciting. Other than that, I like your instrument choices!

@boo block

I find myself enjoying this type of music the more I listen to it, although I'm not a true fan of it, I can certainly feel the excitement of the broken up rhythms but because I don't listen to this type of music very often, I can't really give much feedback other than maybe having the complete drop in music parts a little less frequent as, to my ears, breaks up the beat a little too often, other than that, great job, I'd like to hear more!

Not really an actual piece of music, but instead a short piece for a team hack.

It's the main Cave theme. It's main focus is on the drums, halfway through (it's only 16 measures) I gave the drums a dj like quality where I mixed up pieces of them and gave it a really trippy beat, while the RZA-like melody floats over it.
Here's something that I made for a fangame that I'm working on.

Shiver Shore

Enjoy!
@ShadowFire: Not sure I would pick the same main instrument at the end of the loop, but I really like the beginning, and overall it's pretty pleasant to listen to. Nice alternative to the original theme (:

@Jimmy52905: I really hope this ends up accompanying a platformer stage myself, because I feel like it would be right at home there. I can feel the ice / tropical mix, too- maybe it's the instrument choices? Really nice (:

Egadd: It does have that creepy cavern feel to it, but I was kind of hoping for something to happen at the halfway point along with the drum changes- another bass-ish instrument, maybe? Might just be me, though :b

My original draft had a disjointed piano part coming in at the halfway point, but I think I ran out of channels. I might go back and see if I can squeeze the drums into one channel to put that in. Ultimately, though, I'm a percussionist and I tend to have a hard time writing melodies. Hopefully I'll get better at that!

Incidentally, have you ever looked at the Bomberman Hero soundtrack for inspiration? There's more of an emphasis on drums and bass, with relatively simple melodies. Toejam & Earl comes to mind too, especially the elevator theme. Some examples:

Monogenic
Oropharynx

Nice job making a pleasant remix of the song I've become most tired of hearing in official Mario games :b

So, I decided to give making music another try. I found an old loop and tweaked it a bit.

The synth solo was made by a friend (I'm aware that it kinda sucks). I'm mostly looking for critiques on the sound of everything. Thanks!

That song's pretty catchy, I like it. What did you tweak about it?

There wasn't much that I changed. Most of it is just equalizing (mostly the bass and kick). Musically, I only added chords to the piano and took the synth solo down one octave.
It feels great.

I still feel i could improve it though.

So me and Snow (Zero-X) are working on another collab.

Haven't done that much since he's been gone on vacation the past couple of weeks. Hopefully he'll be back soon so we can finish this (he's going to add some epic piano solo or something)

@x-treme: I feel like you have a strong, gradual buildup that ultimately leads into a pretty unfulfilling, subdued flute. The song sets a great mood at first, but I think the melody needs to be a little stronger (in terms of mixing and instrumentation moreso than composition). Nice work nonetheless!

@ShadowFire: I was kind of surprised to hear those strings replace the piano so early- it's as if they rudely elbowed the piano out of the way, and the effect was a little jarring for me :b The overall mood is very nicely done, though!

Two new songs from me- they aren't really part of an album yet, so I'd rather post them here for now.

@AxemJinx I'm liking these two! They both have a nice feel to them.

In other news, I made another hip hop beat. Any feedback is appreciated.
