Why would I pay $300 to get a save feature? Anyway, since we never turn off the computer, it is completely useful to my advantage.

The same reason people pay $15 a month for stuff like WoW and the like?

Plus, it just feels extra cool having a $300 copy, or something.
Does the $300 version also come with more instrument samples? (sorry about the off-topicness)

You said WoW, and WoW is fail. Therefore people who pay for WoW fail.

My song
That is the song I made...

How To Design a Good Overworld
Check out this new song I made. I think this is probably one of my best compositions, and I may even port it into SMW.

Comments would be appreciated. Enjoy :)
(Sorry if this is considered a bump)
Here's one I like to call the 'Island Dance'. I've had this song in my head since I was about EIGHT. It's certainly a toe tapper in my opinion. Every friend I've shown it to couldn't help dancing.. =D

Please enjoy. =D

The Island Dance

Voice actor. Composer. Musician.

First off, guys... wow, these songs you guys composed are absolutely awesome. Keep up the good work! :3

Secondly, sorry if this is considered a bump, but I would like to show you guys something I have been working on - my first attempt at composing a song in Anvil Studio - it didn't turn out that well, since it's my first attempt, but I still think it's good for a first try. I wasn't able to port it to SMW because of some random errors in addmusic, then I would like to show it off in this thread. I didn't think of any creative name for it besides "CaveSMGP", which is its actual name, because I planned on inserting it to my hack, but I failed. :(

Anyway, here's it: clicky!

Enjoy! :D
I've made an MIDI just to test my skills.

Desorchestral Chaos

I'm thinking about convert it for SMW.

Now I leave my IPS patches of my hacks for everyone play and edit as you want to.

Bramble Invasion & Surreliatus

Amazing songs. I enjoyed most of them, and when I get the chance, I'll post a song that I've started using some of S.N.N.'s tips he gave me today. So...just wait. I will NOT get it done tonight, and maybe not tomorrow, either.

Also, The Crystalline Majesty that S.N.N. made is incomplete. He said that since there was a lack of a bassline and the song itself wasn't good to him, he stopped it at its point right now. Also, don't beg him to complete it, since I don't think he has the FLP file, and FL Studio isn't compatible with opening MP3s. It converts the FLP files into MP3s, since MP3s can have lyrics or just being recorded which is beyond the limitations of FL. And if you don't want to pay for FL, there's another way that I am not revealing, but I'll just say that you can get it illegaly (meaning you don't have to pay for a thing). I haven't been able to get the full FL, but I got the producer edition (and don't ask for it, because I'm not giving it unless I have the permission to).

Back on topic, the song'll be done. And that crystal effect is labelled under the "Bell" category in FL and the bell is called a "Tibetron" (it was also used for the MP3 of Prismatica Eternal).
My first dive in to the wonderful world of composing music, as such, don't except anything too great. :(

Anways: http://www.freewebs.com/busterbeetle/OrganCountdown.mid

Yeah, I can probably extend it, and looking back, I kinda overkilled my percussion. I'll go and fix that. D:
Buster Beetle, I kinda like where you're going, but yeah, you may want to cut down on some of the percussion. Also, S.N.N. had told me about chords not too long ago (which is more than 1 track playing at a time (excluding percussion and the bassline (using different instruments with the same melody is cheating, though; I had made the mistake not too long ago))), which is not shown here once.

The example of a chord that he gave me was this. I'm still trying on making chords sound normal and not thrown in there.
"Notetwined Fusion"

Figured I'd show what I've done on this track here .. though I still plan on adding more to it.

Comments on what is there?
Notetwined Fusion is right. I hear everything get tossed in at once, and somehow it sounds good (all of my attempts suck). Whether you start to get annoyed/lose interest in the melody, I await to hear this whole song, as it sounds fantastic as is.
S.N.N.: I really like that one. I especially like the part starting at about 20 seconds into the song. The instrument choice was great, and it's quite catchy too. Are you by any chance going to use this in Mario's Keytastrophe? :)

Yes - hence the name :P. Of course, I still want to add quite a bit more to it to try and enhance the mood a little more.

Thanks for the comments, guys. I'll post the completed MP3 here when it's done.

In Windows Vista, it shows the name when I highlight over the music note at the top-right, and it says Mario's Keytastrophe there. So yes he is (ninja'd).

Factorial Sanity Distortion

An incomplete song that SNN was going to use in Keytastrophe but lost interest in the song, so it's cancelled (I don't know why he didn't show it). I see no problem with showing it, though.
That song sounds really cool - and the name is win. It sounds like an excellent song to use in Keytastrophe...I mean, why not? It's got that really nice "wacky insane evil factory" mood to it.

The previous one SNN posted was neat as well. Sounds like a tune for less frantic, but still upbeat levels. The tone sounds like it would fit a level in which something bad has happened in the storyline.
A couple of songs done recently, of which the first one is a 2-minute repeat that extends the instruments throughout the song (both for my hack). The first one I got feedback from SNN stating he wasn't too fond of it. I have somewhat lost interest in it myself.

Mario, Hero of Matik - MP3
Mario, Hero of Matik - SPC

The second one...anyone whom has played the third demo of my hack would know the ice castle song that was very empty and had 2 instruments. This song will replace that.

Crystal Cove - MP3
Crystal Cove - SPC

Enjoy!
Thanks for the feedback Reading - sadly, I will never finish that factory tune, because I really don't like how it turned out. Plus, converting it, will sound really .. iffy.

RC: 'Crystal Cove' is better than your first one by a landslide, and with a bit of work, I think it can sound quite good. Here are some suggestions I have for you.

1. Drop your bassline by an octave. It will sound much deeper, but it will sound much better.
2. In a song like this, I really think echos and volume slides would make it sound awesome. Play around with them a bit, and see what you can get.
3. You kind of butcher the song around 00:45 - thankfully, it's only for a few notes that it sounds truly bad. You completely jump out of key, and it sounds off. Keep it in key there, and you're set.

Yeah. It has potential to sound good. You have a pretty decent counter melody going there, which is nice. Work with it a bit.

EDIT: I finished my MP3.

"Notetwined Fusion"

I decided to keep the last half simple, and relative to the first half. No need to expand on what already worked fine. Heh.
