November is my goal for judging to be finished, but if we need more time then so be it.

You should have never said a specific month lol. People are going to go crazy with the "how much longer questions" if it takes a day longer than November.

Also will you be doing playthrough videos again this year to go with your judging? I really enjoyed it last year and the commentary during the vids was awesome.

"Black Lives Matter"

Those videos were done on my own time for my own Youtube channel, not for the site. At this moment I don't have plans to do them because I haven't been able to record anything lately.
I'm about to start playing the VLDC12 entries, and I made ROMs of all of the working patches. Looking through all of the ROMs, I noticed that all but two had the same file size of 2,049 KB. The other two entries had file sizes of 4,097 KB and 8,193 KB respectively. I'm assuming that the BaseROM has a file size of 2,049 KB. Would it be correct to treat these two "stray" entries as invalid/disqualified and not play them (if disqualified entries are not being played by me) due to their different file sizes? I wasn't sure if ROM expansion of the BaseROM was allowed. These entries either expanded the BaseROM or failed to use it, but I'm not sure if BaseROM expansion is allowed or not.
I'm not sure how or why those entries are larger than others, but I won't disqualify them without proof of wrongdoing, and I won't be able to check that until I judge them. For now assume they're just regular entries I suppose.
Alright, thanks.
Will VLDC 12 have a world map with all of the levels available for download similar to VLDC 9?

Lookin Like a Double-Wide Suprise
Currently there is no plan to make a compiled hack just like VLDCX and VLDC 11, the scope of the project is too large for the current available tools.
Possibly, but don't count on it. Compiling all entries into one hack is an unwieldy task, and the more entries there are (and the higher expectations grow), the more complex it gets. That's why VLDC 7, 8 and 9 got compilations, but X and 11 didn't.

That said, there have been efforts to make a compilation for VLDC12 over the past few days. Though even if something becomes of that, it likely won't be out for another couple of months.

will there be a compiled bldc or vldc2 hack.
Don't count on it.

Aja made a guide about compiling contests that should hopefully get people interested in the task.

BLDC could maybe be assembled, but VLDC2 is probably impossible.
Never say Never FPzero. I'm sure if we all band together, a Compilation Hack of VLDC12 could be made. I really enjoyed the last VLDC Compilation Hack (VLDC9 I'm pretty sure).
Don't worry, I'm planning to make a decision about the viability of compiling VLDC12 within the next few days. Everyone will hear more soon, believe me.
