I like how you used the ghost house tileset here. It always makes decent aesthetics.

The gameplay is a bit chaotic at some parts imo, but it's still doable. Kinda hard to tell how you could really improve there though.

The level design in a way really reminds me of Kirby's Adventure, which is a double-edged sword: there are a lot of pieces and the theme is more about the 'where' than the 'how.' It is all over the place but uses most assets in a fun and reasonable way. There are a few cheap hits such as the Eeries almost instantly on top of you if you backtrack through the door and the layer priority making the Piranha Plant not appear to touch Mario but still manage to harm him.

You've got interesting houses built with beams that have mysterious light sources, yellow clouds you spring up high from, and gentle yet unnatural colors that look like it could only be in a dream. It does get increasingly strange-looking, and therefore I think the ghosts fit because it's symbolic of becoming a nightmare. I was thinking by the hint in the intro that surely a plumber would dream of pipes but then I looked at the title and all he wants is a paycheck! Imagine doing the toughest work and you're stuck pulling money out of thin air to earn a living. I feel for the guy. Glad the dream ended on a positive note, but Mario just realized his pockets are still empty. How bittersweet. #ab{:(} I like that you told a bit of a story through your level. I think it's quite a different level for sure.

Just want to say, you nailed the aesthetic of "wispy place that you can only hope to describe." The piranha plant jump at beginning was a bit hard for me, I think it could use a few more blocks of runway. Other than that, very fun and pretty level!
