These are some top-notch visual assemblies that will be very hard to compete with. The translucent waterfalls and just about everything with the castle visuals are particularly beautiful. The level looks like a side-view take on early Final Fantasy with its architecture and glassy palette. The grass and candles pop out, and the Swoopers being red almost seem like the candle fires come to life, somewhat reminding me of the Keese on fire in Zelda. Thematically, it is very solid.
I haven't played the level but what you presented here looks steady, traditional, and varied. Despite layer priority changes, all threats are clearly visible.
I am a little nervous. This may be the one to beat.
My only gripe is the status bar got nixed.
Just look above you... If it's something that can be stopped, then just try to stop it!
Visually this is outright amazing! The title screen already soilers the great potential this level has and honestly you did a great job with the rain animation, the waterfalls and the castle interior.
Level design feel great as well imo so I can imagine a fairly high score for this
