cool i havent made a level in six years what's up

Here's a level loosely inspired by the Great Canyon from Pokémon Mystery Dungeon. This is nothing special compared to what people are cooking up these days but I figured VLDC was a good way to put myself back in the groove.

This isn't too different from what I've done last time for VLDC7, this is just a decently challenging level that I tried to balance as if it was mid to late game. There are a few surprises though, let me know if you find them because apparently they're pretty nice.

This is probably gonna stay as is because I am VERY LATE this year but I would appreciate feedback nonetheless.

Special thanks to Hobz for doing a first playtest for me and help iron some things out.
"Lofty" is the word I would use to describe the gameplay because it feels like you spend much of the time above the ground, not necessarily jumping but drifting on the platforms at high altitudes. It suits the ambience. The platforming is laid-back; it doesn't try to twist your arm, kick your butt and take your name. I admire that it keeps things simple and safe, but solid and unified.

The presentation is very rich with color and detail, very warm colors and bold tilesets with popping shadow and light sources. I love how you saved "fossilized" props for soil that appears darker and deeper in the ground - these details are so much better because that context gives them not only beauty but purpose, and the level becomes more awe-inspiring. The main background (layers 2 and 3) is one of the most atmospheric builds I have seen in vanilla. The spike ground looks fantastic too and I think you did a good job blending parts of the torpedo launcher into it to make safe ground.

If it's something that can be stopped, then just try to stop it!
