Tip: Switch palace switches normally disappear if you replay the level. However, if you insert them as direct Map16 and use the hex-edit at $00EEB2 in the ROM map, you can replay the level without a problem.
I've always wondered ever since finding out about SMW rom hacks if one's actually been made. I'm starting to think it's a hoax. Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?
Just look above you... If it's something that can be stopped, then just try to stop it!

Yeah, it might actually just be something someone said to trick us... sad...
If we could hack the game, that would be so cool. We could bring it into the modern era with 4K support for 16-bit colors, always-online DRM functionality to make sure your 30-year-old game still belongs to you, and pay-to-win - secret exits could cost a premium. Also maybe I'm alone but harder levels would be nice.
Eh I don't know.
Hacking a 30 year old game would require tons of effort, knowledge of assembly, and not to mention, an audience. I don't know about you, but getting through all that trouble just to add a funny swear or a dabbing Mario is beyond me.

It would never catch on. Ever.
Ngl, yeah bro, that would just be... frankly... almost impossible!
Alright the jokes have gone on long enough. I think that the truth should be stated in this thread at least once for the sake of internet integrity. All the footage of smw romhacks you've ever seen is fake. The truth is, it's the product of a deep convolutional recurrent neural network that is in the process of rendering every single possibility of how SMW could have turned out. It's been running since the year 2000 and has gone under tons of improvements since, but it also dramatically increased the amount of iterations possible which explains why the supercomputer is still running to this day underground somewhere in Norway.
I can't tell you much more as this information is highly classified, which is also why I understand that everyone has been turning a blind eye to this. I'm willing to take that risk, now the truth is out there and I bid you farewell

Thank you for this information... stay safe though... the FBI might be on your tail now...
I've never heard of this SMW. What does it abbreviate to? Is it top-secret confidential government information?
SMW stands for Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. I hear the place was so popular that a whole community emerged from it, called Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC for short). Not completely sure what it's a primary resource of, though. I also don't know how exactly these so-called ROM hacks tie into the community, but they do sound like interesting things to make.

I don't like the sound of hacking honestly. I heard you can face a pretty hefty fine (or even worse, jail time) for breaking into people's computers.
In this day and age, very few have knowledge on SMW ROM-Hacking. Long ago, legends told that thousands of ROM-Hacks existed. Now, restrictions have been tightened-- it's best to forget about SMW ROM-Hacking before you get in trouble with the law-- or worse. The Big N is always watching.
I'm getting tired of posting videos of virtual roller coasters and if I can figure out that Saint Mary-of-the-Woods hacking thing, that would be a nice change of pace for my channel.

How am I so creative? I think taking walks might have something to do with it.
Every single level I will ever make in SMM2 will be easier than Ultra Necrozma.
