welp, think I'll just not bother trying to submit music that caters to any specific groups of people and just post whatever tf I want this time; let's see how this will do ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
14 Bis - Linda Juventude
Aphex Twin - Vordhosbn
Daft Punk - Giorgio by Moroder
(might change shit later. maybe.)
Welcome, once again, to the annual / biannual / semiannual Non-VGM Music Tourney!
For those who haven't participated in the previous Music Tourneys, we will be selecting our favorite tracks and voting which one is the best, bracket-style. Why is it not VGM this time? Because I don't listen to VGM anymore. You can send your grievances here.
Nomination Rules:
-Only tracks not made specifically for a video game can be nominated.
-Up to three tracks can be nominated by one person.
-Only three tracks from the same artist can be nominated (feature credits don't count to this total). EDIT: You can only nominate one track per artist.
-Remixes are allowed, but still have to follow artist rules.
-Each nomination must have a valid video link. (This is a good site for checking if your video is blacklisted in any countries.)
-Please format nominations as [Artist] - [Song]
Nominations will be due by Sunday, October 4th at 10:00 PM EST.
--------------------------------------
So I don't blindside anybody, voting will be much different at the beginning of the tourney this time around. To speed up the process a bit, for the first round of voting you will vote the best two of eight songs, rather than the usual bracket voting. So, instead of:
Track A vs Track B
Track C vs Track D
Track E vs Track F
Track G vs Track H
...all eight tracks would be voted against each other, and the best two would move onto a normal bracket. This will also handle the issue of uneven track counts that normally screw up the brackets.
Since this is such a big change, please let me know in comments (and the poll) whether or not you approve of the changes; if people just want to do it the old way, then that's fine with me.
Now, with that out of the way.......let the nominations begin!
-------------------------------------
Time Zone - World Destruction
DJ Shadow - The Number Song
NBA Stupid A$s - I Wish the Money Changed Me
(will probably update this at some point)i hope i win
