Toad's World 2 (Working on 6th world soon) - Works in Progress

After some dilemma (see here) I can say that Toad's World 2 is STILL being worked on. Slow but steady.

I haven't. I have no idea what he's doing nowadays.

I'll admit it - first installment was good enough. It's just that when I played it in the past, I reviewed it focusing too much on negative aspects and neglected the good ones. Oh well. Sorry for that.

I'm really glad to see a sequel happening, and with all the new advances and technologies in SMW hacking, I really look forward to this. It might look simple and straightforward, but it's good, since it also looks very solid and consistent. Keeping my eyes on this one.

Wow, you're back with a sequel to Toad's World... I never thought I'd see the day! Toad's World was one of the hacks besides TSRPR and Brutal Mario that I played a looot when I was a kid and I also enjoyed playing it again when you re-released a better version in 2014! I'm definitely keeping an eye on this now - really excited to see what you decide to do with the SMW hacking advancements made since 2014!

I don't know yet. I did have plans for Toadette but for now it's only Toad playable. Mainly because I can't draw proper graphics for Toadette that would have the same art style. xD

Don't worry about it.

The level design is not as simple as it was in Toad's World. It will have different passages, some puzzles and secret exits, too. Hopefully people will a better opinion about it once done.

During the Covid-19 pandemic I honestly didn't know what to do sinc I had no games to play and thought I'd check SMWC again to see how far SMW hacking is now. To my surprise, some tools are very nice and useful and LM supporting Layer 3 now is very nice.
I still remember setting layer 3 manually for Toad's World and Mario's Journey Through Time & Space.
So much work saved now, ha.

That's kinda of a low move. Deleting the screenshots out of nowhere and then, cancelling your hack. Really, Ice Man? At very least, tell the people why you cancelled your hack. It looked promising. If I had one person giving me feedback, I would still make my hack for example.

Not sure if this is my move in a way, but even so, I'd still continue with my hack.

As a matter of fact, Rykon wasn't promoting his hack at all, he was just implying that it's not something he would do with it.

Either way, this thread has absolutely nothing to comment on now that there's no content anymore, so I'll put an end to it. Ice Man, feel free to message me if you ever change your mind someday.

I know it was and I'm sorry for explaining myself a little late.

The main reason why I deleted the screenshots and put the hack as cancelled was not only lack of motivation but while formatting a SD Card I accidentally clicked on the wrong drive and ended up deleting my external HDD which the files were on.

While being in rage I didn't want to work on this hack any longer but just recently I found another SD card with a backup on it. Most of the things were done that I had done so the loss is not big at all and can be recovered easily!

On top of that I updated a few things here and there already and hope to work on levels again soon!

World 1 and 2 are done, 3 is halfway through! Stay tuned.
