Are the level musics going to be SMW original remixes like in VLDC 7, 8, 9, or are they going to be ports of other video games?

VLDC11's title will use the track "11th" from the music making contest that accompanied the contest seen here. "vldc11night" will be used for the credits area. I'd like to use all the music somewhere in the hack, but I'm not sure where they'd all go.

You're free to test out anything, although bsnes and real console testing should probably be most considered since this hack's mostly been made with Snes9x.

No Green Doors. However, a compromise is being worked with right now.

No music for any level won't be changed at all. If they use the original SMW music, then that's what they'll be using.

No. VLDCX is too big for its own good.
Help me get the VLDC11 collab fixed and done.
The VLDCX Collab would have to be split into 2-3 separate ROMs, much like how Final Fantasy VII was split into 3 discs. 200 levels is more than we can handle in a single ROM, which is about 100.

Alternatively there was always a plan to do the Top 50 for VLDCX.

Well, it's been forever since I last gave any update for the hack. How is it so far? Well...
∙ Almost all Switch Palaces are finished, and new videos are up to show them off in the Thread OP.
∙ ASM stuff still unsolved/unworked in the To Do list. If anybody is willing to help out let me know. Overall my biggest need right now.


Overall, not much progress has been made, mostly due to lack of motivation, work, procrastination and feeling stuck, so I apologize for long-time silence. However, the project is not dead, and most news come from the Discord server as well if you've seen that.
Help me get the VLDC11 collab fixed and done.

this thread needs to get pinned somewhere to get more help. maybe a video showing all the levels like the trailer for vldc10.

Before I provide the download I wanna ask special permission to remove the timer from my Green Switch Palace. I can keep it if I have to, but I fear that (since it's a puzzle level) 500 seconds is not a lot of time (especially with the second half installed as AnEvilGhost requested)

I do have to say that switch palace looks cleverly designed. But I feel it takes far too long than a Switch Palace level needs to be.

A VLDCX collab could work if it used a Zelda Oracles-type password link system to allow 2 ROMs to link together.

but what will happen to the disqualified levels like mine#wario{-_-?}#smw{:x} I think a vldc2 or even a vldc3 compilation hack would be more interesting than a vldcx collab hope the vldc11 collab still is being finished.
I think last I checked, the vldc11 compilation was hamstrung by massive ASM issues. I don't know if that's still the case, though.

Hey, potentially really silly question, but I was working on a level for VLDC11 called "Mint-Berry Crunch", but after developing the visual formulae I made a level design that sucked and I ran out of time trying to make it better.

Would you have any desire to use the look of it for something somewhere? Not as a "level" parse say, but anything else?

I'll see where I can fit it in the collab (and if anybody else makes this sort of request)
