Description: | v1.9 (more changes and balancing) ----- This hack is geared towards the beginner/intermediate kaizo player, with similar difficulty to the usual suspects (Invictus, Shell's Retriever, Gracie World, Quickie, Akogare, learn2kaizo, etc). The difficulty is a manageable progression thru the 13 exits, and is beatable in a couple sessions. The gameplay is on the faster side with no vertical levels, no ice physics, and easy shell jumps. Recommended for those with a solid understanding of SMW, but can also be played by a beginner. Lots of custom music and various ASM / QOL patches (frame rule patch, fast retry, no HUD, custom On/Off blocks). Featuring 2 overworlds and a custom intro. Compliments to all the people who ported the songs! -KevinM -VecchiaZim -Sheeplover1011 -Milon Luxy -tssf -EDIT3333 -MidiGuy -tcdw -MiniMacro -musicalman -DanTheVP -imamelia -Dark Mario Bros -Pinci -Ultima -Isikoro -Gamma V -Unknown User -Hooded Edge Big shout out to everyone on the SMW Central forums for providing a majority of the troubleshooting to complete this. With a special thanks to NinjaBoy, LDad, and ThirdWall! |

A secondary issue is the use of tiles with the same graphics but different act as in Map16. Especially in the yoshi feed level, it is very hard to tell what every tile does. Some bridge tiles are solid but others are 1f0, the softlock is gone but replaced by a tile that kills you in one instance but not another. I highly recommend consistency in graphics, it's how players know what is safe and what isn't.
I also recommend removing death tiles that are offscreen, in multiple levels I jumped into presumed safety and died to an offscreen muncher.
The design of the levels is massively improved, but in order to approve this hack you would need to submit and update that gets rid of the cutoff in the levels, as well as adding some consistency to your graphics.
I highly recommend getting a couple of testers to help you with the levels, you're on the right track but some tweaking would help a lot!
