Hello There!

Is there any patch or Rom map Address that i can edit to disable
that goal fadeout ball? i'm Having problems with it.
I'm using HDMA Gradient effects on my hack. when it appears
after cutting the goal tape, the background reverts to it's original
color

There is indeed a patch for this Minimalist Course Clear by Lui and wiiqwertyuiop

There are 2 Rom Map Addresses: $00AF35 and $00B091

However there is a third Rom Map Address with the same premise, but has some issues with it: $00AF39

I suggest you try the patch first, and if it doesn't work, use these addresses.

i think you miss understood.
I wanted to disable the ball, the circle effect that closes on mario
position, not the entirety of the fadeout sequence.

There's a hex edit with which you can prevent the circle from disabling your HDMA:

You didn't look into the patch hard enough.
There is an option in course_clear_defs.asm that says !enable_circle, set that to 0 but on the !enable_scorecard set it to 1.

Also doing the hex edit KevinM stated fixes the problem even without the patch.
