Is there a way to tweak the hardware of a DS so that when playing GBA games, A on the GBA is mapped to B on the DS and B is mapped to Y rather than A/B still being A/B?

This sounds pretty complicated... Why not use a Game-Boy Advance SP? It's kind of like that... And honestly one of my favorite Handhelds!

I have a Game Boy Advance SP, but it's broken, and replacing it would cost me about $100. I already have a DS (and the DS feels better anyway).
