Small update: I forgot about this yesterday, so I'll include it here. It's a cursed sprite I made a while back (and ended up using it in the KLDC 2020 level), an abominable fusion between two vanilla sprites. I present you:

Green Bean Raft [DOWNLOAD]


It's a skull raft, but made of green beans. It has a few customization options, to choose the direction of the green bean, the speed of the rafts and the number of beans in a raft (all with the extra bytes). There's also a couple fixes from the original raft: the rafts will interact with walls, not going through them, and when a raft despawns it won't erase all other spawned rafts. It's pretty janky, being the union of two janky sprites, so use it with caution.

Extended sprites interact with blocks (also custom) [DOWNLOAD]


After Tahixham pointed a gun to my head gently asked me about custom blocks support, here it is! You can make the extended sprites run the "MarioFireball" code in custom blocks, and use a flag to distinguish them from the actual Mario fireballs (more info in the file).

Loving every single port out of the bunch!!!!! Don't wanna get too deep into the list but namely THE ones to me are the Tempest one, Mission Briefing and Eternal Forest especially, these must've been put a lotta hard work into. You always deliver 100% accuracy at SNES ports so I don't have to go crazy surprised about em, they're just really nice.

Very impressive ASM stuff aswell! I picture those jumpin sprites bringing forth some neat kaizo gimmicks in the future.

At first glance i thought you made a joke sprite to resemble the one from the gigaleak which had extra frames missing their gfx lol. I think I found your POV that day as well...

Oh man, some of these will absolutely make their way into my hack. Even if I have to come up with a reason to justify it!
The carriable muncher is definitely a contender for one of the most terrifying resources together with the carriable cement block. Are they immune to gray P-switches unlike the regular munchers?
I'm giving the songs a listen later, but I'll let you know in advance that you're an excellent porter.

But oh man, I can already see myself using some of those resources in a future hack I'm half-assing. Really nice work, KevinM!

Thanks! There's no custom silver POW interaction in the muncher (although I don't remember if it's affected by the silver POW like vanilla sprites, but in case it's an easy change with the CFG editor), but I plan to add that behavior in the future (muncher turns into a static coin while the switch is running, then goes back to normal afterwards).
Dude that overworld system is bonkers....

....but not as bonkers as that Contra 3 port dude! That is RAD!

The asm and music stuff is legit rad (in particular the overworld menu). I'll definitely give most of these a shot once I'm able to.
