Hi again!
I got this idea randomly yesterday, and I think it could be a fun experiment. I don't know how many or if anyone will participate, but I do hope a lot will.
My idea is to put together an archive of resources, or files in general, that people send to me. Anyone can submit anything, and at the end of C3 I'll compile everything together keeping track of who submitted what. Then, in 10 years (is this too long? Maybe 5 years would be better?) I'll make another C3 thread where I share the archive and we can see what did everyone submit. This is, of course, assuming these conditions will hold true:
I will actually remember about this.
The archive won't get lost.
SMWCentral will still exist.
C3 will still be held at least annually (if not, I could just make a normal thread instead).
I think it could be a fun experiment to see 10 years from now what were the "hot" things, memes or whatever, for people that will still be active to look back at this moment, and for new people to see what was like around here during 2021.
So, with that said, here are the rules:
Any person can submit 1 (ONE) resource to me, either by linking it here, sending it to me by site PM or on Discord DMs (KevinM#2380). If you send it on Discord, please also include a link to your SMWCentral account. You can submit anything: an image, a video, a text file (if you want to leave some thoughts for your future self ), any resource or hack from SMWCentral, etc. If you send more than one element, I'll take the last one. The resource can be an archive of different files, but they should all be functional for the same purpose (for example, SMWC music zips, an HTML page with image files that are referenced in it, etc.). Don't just put together a bunch of unrelated files.
Resources must be at most 10 MiB in size, so don't send me huge videos or something like that.
Resources shouldn't contain: copyrighted content, malwares, violence, porn, any kind of discriminative content, etc. In short, it should abide by SMWCentral's rules.
With that said, have fun and I hope to see you in 10 years!
Sounds like a really cool idea, so I will give this a try!
I submit this text file, which contains kind of a 10-year goal for myself. I hope I'll see everyone still around in ten years and will hopefully have accomplished what I set out to.
Hope more people will submit stuff, so that we can all have a laugh ten years down the line.
I'd like to add 2 funny gifs sent during testing of my romhack by yoshifanatic. First involves Gold Yoshi being OP af. Second is a funny Boss Bass incident XD.
I guess I could toss in this tiny Song of Time .txt file, which I made myself just to use as goal music for one of my videos several years ago. (Having the Song of Time in the Time Capsule would be fitting.)
KevinM, would you mind adding this picture for me? Want to make sure I still have the perfect Valentine's Card around to give my girlfriend in the near future.
This is the very first level of the hack I started in 2019 (around the time I joined SMWC), and abandoned around May 2020 due to the hack being hot garbage
Thought I'd submit this as it's pretty much my first ever hacking creation. Maybe in 5 or 10 years I'll actually have a decent hack made.
this is quite an interesting concept,i will probably submit something
to this since im quite curious to see how i would look back at the crap i made, so keep an eye on this post since imma gonna edit this and add a link to some stuff im submitting to add to the time capsule
(EDIT decided to instead pm kevinM)

This is my layout i plan on adding one soon
On our way to making Aether have the animation it does, we need to overhaul the physics entirely. With Maarfy's blessings I'd like to submit an early physics test for how all of the running, jumping, climbing will work.
Hopefully there will be something to contrast it immensely by the time the Time Capsule opens up!
I'd like to leave this here. It's a small BPS patch consisting of only 2 finished and 2 unfinished levels, one of which may not be directly accessible in the ROM itself.
If you're unsure what this is, then back in early 2016, after VLDC9 was over, I only had access to my mom's Mac at the time since my Windows XP computer I made my VLDC9 level in got stuck at the loading screen. So, I decided to make a few levels to kill time. Now, this uses the same base ROM I used to make my VLDC9 level which I'm still fondly proud of and holds a place in my heart as far as my early SMW hacking history is concerned. Sadly, it was DQ'ed and got 128th place.
Once I found another working computer in our house, I decided to work a little more on it. I proceeded to patch the ancient SMAS music patch. Dunno I managed to patch the SMB3 koopa patch with Asar in my Mac back then. Two years later from that time, I couldn't use Asar at all!
