IIRC, I remember a friend of mine showing this one guy that did this SNES driver that somehow managed to replicate most (if not all) of the features from the SID, and was used for this sort of "jukebox" thing where you could listen to different demoscene music, all using this driver; dunno if that's what was done, but I'm just saying it's technically possible, even if I still can't wrap my head around how it works heh
Anyway, pretty nice, and even if I do agree the music sounds a bit underwhelming, normally the really impressive C64 music was more for title themes n' shit (or just one huge song that's used for everything in the game), so wherever stage themes were concerned, they kind of sounded mostly like that so I'm not too concerned about it... but then again, this isn't the C64, so I assume something better could be done? I dunno if it can, but just wanted to make sure really
