I showed this off on the Discord but here is the gimmick behind my entry. It'll involve using a Sling Sprite in which you can traverse the level with.
I'll be making the theme more of a forest filled with brambles to avoid so far now I am aiming to get everything sorted with the ROM.

I'm also looking into getting the Sling/Bramball to activate ON-OFF Blocks for some more variety in terms of level design.
I'm open to all ideas and I'll do my best to try and incorporate them in some way. It'll be my first proper KLDC entry so I hope I and others do well.

Do you intend to use Stickerbush Symphony for this level? I don't know any better theme for traversing the brambles.

Your idea is promising anyway. Are you open for using sprite-solid note blocks or directional blocks?

Despite the theme of the level been brambles I wanna stray away from using that particular piece of music. I've got a few ideas for tracks that I think would suit the action more.
That said I wanna made use some Cannon Blocks similar to DKC Barrels.
Over the next week I'll be messing around with such blocks you've suggested as well as some I've found to be interesting.

Thanks for the feedback and ideas. They are really helpful for someone who does not mess around with Kaizo level design that often. #smrpg{haha}
Oh, I meant to say "one-way blocks". You might take these into consideration as well.

As of music, that's fine if you don't use a DKC song. Some people find that song overused. Hope to hear what you might use in your level.

Thanks to KevinM it now works with ON-OFF Blocks.
This opens up a lot of level design options which I wanna explore.

It won't necessarily just be used for Line Guides but maybe ON-OFF solid blocks that you need to hit so you can swing or stand on them.
