I first start by saying USE BSNES NOT SNES9X IF YOU WANT YOUR FILE TO SAVE! (Was the first mistake I did by not knowing it that's my problem not the game's fault as it's made to work on BSNES).
I played this hack, and completed it all on BSNES! And I have been totally amazed and embrassed it already when I reached the mushroom level of Yoshi Island that features water and saw the different background featuring waterfalls which not only is gorgeous but adds logic as to where the water actually come from! That doesn't stop there! You eventually realise you can enter in the castle with Yoshi and hear the Maker Bongo which was a delight for the ears! Then you eventually see various new backgrounds as you continue playing such as in Donut Plains which has way more the Mario esthetic and vibe to it and if not mistaken they were the original intended one in the beta or if not Ladiesman made them!
And so on you eventually realise Fortresses have the Maker Airship theme Yoshi included once more, Forest of Illusion has the Maker theme, new green foresty underground wallpaper, Choco Island lost it's biggest weakeness and start right away with chocolate rocks and background which apply for the whole world! Things like that makes the game feel fresh and interesting instead of the default music and setting of 1-1 constantly reused and don't worry the Maker Desert music comes along with it! Delight!
-Many ghost houses have new interiors
-ALL GBA features fully implemented and professionally
-What I call "Halloween Mode" which is the pallet change now affects the levels too which is absurdely fantastic because it emerges you in the actual reward rather than just an overworld map esthetic and I ADORE it!
-Pallet chance affect enemies too you know this, but when you will realise how many you will be in love with it! Seeing beta festive green wigglers really made me happy!
-the entrance gates to Star Road 1 and 2 seems impossible and even not existing at all, but don't give up and dig! I actually adored to try to understand that oddity for 96 exits completion. they were my last exits to do and they are indeed still there but made harder and more rewarding which is how it should've been to begin with and imo LadiesMan did perfect with these two so a new player wouldn't go reach Bowser in the first 10 mins of playing and focus on the actual outside worlds! The difficulty is alike the cheese bridge level where you need to be smart remember when you had to use Yoshi to pass under the goal bar to reach the second all tho it's not how to do for the two first Star Road gates but alike in term of -use your head-!
-All levels appearing in the map or World 7 counting also ones such as the ice Donut Plains level in World 7 will have thunder heard which match the vibe, it's exterior P-Balloon section is no longer in sunny blue sky but thunder dark sky which again such little attention is everywhere in this hack!
-The ghost ship level has a superior way to beat it imo!
-2 New yoshis with each their powers and it feels legit to the game and not off at all, it's just so done smart that it feels like it belongs there you know?
-I probably forget a ton of honorable mentions there is just too much of fixes and great enhancements!
Eventually got ot the animations for 96 exits and all Yoshi Coins because like in GBA they are no longer useless and worth gathering as it is part of the actual 100% like GBA, decided to do hard mode and embraced redoing the whole game seeing new enemies all over, return of Maker ones such as Chain Chomps, Hammer Bros, the Mario Kart 64 version of the shallowing piranha plants which indeed first originated from the beta of SMW WELCOME ADDITIONS!
-Several hidden box messages with codes to access very cool new levels!
-Honorable mention: The Reznors seems impossible in Hard Mode, but when you finally understand what to do you're like "no, this is really well made and smart!"
Last important mention: I doubt that this is my imagination, but it could be who know, I listened to the OST of SMW countless times with headphones and while playing the OG to on Switch, and the music seems way more crisp and stereo in this hack than the OG game and official released OSTs!
I'm not the best at writing big texts so it's probably messy a bit, but this is the definitive version of SMW and nothing will top this remake play it at all costs!

You come with Yoshi, hit the first one and use Yoshi as a double jump to reach the platform to be able to remove the 3 others!
