Brave Fantasy G v2 - because v1 on Discord wasn't working out well enough

Welcome to the thread! Starting off, if your username isn't Impetus, Hexagonaldonut, LucasRCD, or Falconpunch, I'd like to kindly ask you not to post in this thread. There are currently no signups, there will be no signups. These four users will be the players in this game.

Speaking of, let me introduce their souls into this post!

Then we just need to infuse them into their characters...

Code
>exec soulbind.exe
>_

Just... uh... imagine that they're animated. The soul fades into the body of the character as the white outline appears around them. I would do it myself, but that's more work than I'm willing to put in at the moment. Linux, html5 and CSS are all pissing me off right now, I don't need another timesink.

ANYWAYS, here's the link to the public spreadsheet. Now that the players' souls are properly imbued into their characters, those souls can comment on that spreadsheet. They're also allowed to post in this thread, like I stated before - but the reason for that is the soul binding. I'll get the world all set up now...

The Wind crystal, which imbues motivation even when we are at our lowest. The Electricity crystal, which is a source of inspiration, even to the least creative. The Light crystal, long believed to be a messenger of God, now it is the greatest source of magic the world over... and the Dark crystal, now kept under close watch by the government so that its untold power will not fall into the wrong hands. The crystals are all enshrined publicly, their splendor visible to all, but they are kept under close watch."

This may be part of the curriculum, but you've heard it a thousand times before. Now might be a good time for a nap. You lay your head down on your arms, confident that nobody will bother you - this is college, after all. However, you have a strange dream...

"Please, help us!"
"They're breaking chunks off of us!"
"Six shards apiece. Six fragments of power."
"They intend to subjugate the people!"
"You are our only hope."
"Gather the shards."
"Make us whole again!"

You awaken with a start, all four of you. The Dragon Quest Eleven box jiggles around in Bernadetta's bag. Keira and Naoi's eyes meet from across the room. Somehow, the four of you understand that you shared the same dream. After class ends, you meet, and decide to look for these crystal shards...

Code
>exec dsel

I know there's only the one dungeon available, but the point of showing the dungeon selector is that players aren't currently in a dungeon. Thus, you can also...

All players have 500 GP, go nuts. GP will be calculated on a per-player basis. You're allowed to trade, but everyone has their own GP totals.

This is a thing that's happening, now. Achievements in old video games.
Thank you for the layout, Erik557.
Man, I wish this would've worked. Oh well.
If not for respect, but dramatic effect, take on the face of Guy Fawkes.
Buy and equip Leather Armor, Leather Hat and Leather Shoes.

And for the hell of it (given I have no magic rn), why not buy and equip two leather shields as well and plant the box in the front row.

It means someone else can pick up a bow and go to the back row if they'd like.
Buy and equip Casual Clothes, Leather Hat, Leather Shoes, Lumber Axe, and Escutcheon (-125 GP). Buy one Phoenix Down, 4 Potions, and 4 Antidotes (-370 GP).
I play forum games and draw furries. I'm mostly active on Discord and Twitter.

Pick up a Short Sword, Casual Clothes, Leather Hat & Shoes (85 GP total), and equip all of them. Also pick up 2 Phoenix Downs and 2 Potions (380 GP), which should leave me with 35 GP.
Want to see some of my cool swords? Well, too bad, right now you only get to see one of them, and it's my avatar. Might set up some kind of gallery/portfolio at some point, though.
I'll buy a Wooden Bow, Casual Clothes, Leather Hat & Shoes (-145), and 3 Wakeup Bells (-120), which should leave me at 35GP.

(Yes, I'm gonna equip the stuff too, silly.)
Unfortunately, I'm not very active on the site anymore like I was before; I'm mainly on Discord now. Thanks for understanding.
...And I forgot to mention that everyone already has Casual Clothes. I'll just subtract that from FP, Hex and Lucas' shop totals.

So, let me list everyone's current stat totals after equipping their purchases, along with their remaining cash.

NameHPMPATKDEFMATMDFRESSPDAIMEVATGRLUKCRTGP Remaining
Dragon Quest 11 Box479144193919211919123234911290
Bernadetta175282272619191919124142416255
Naoi37814424241919191911919241145
Keira32714429291920191911020301-915

This will be the only time the above information is visible in its entirety in the thread, excluding the cash; that will be available between dungeons. From here on, when you want to refer to your (or one of your allies') stats, please use the spreadsheet. Think of it as hitting a specific button on the controller, say, right on the control stick when you normally use the D-pad in menus, to bring up your full stats, passives and temporary effects.

I'll give you guys an opportunity to purchase more stuff, but if everyone's good, then we'll head into the first dungeon.

Sell the casual clothes? And get two Phoenix Down (assuming I can afford it... maybe someone can transfer me the missing G? It's not much) in anticipation of it becoming more expensive later.

Then let's go fight.
Transfer my 5 GP to Impetus; also transfer 2 Potions and 2 Antidotes to her; I'm done shopping, personally.
I play forum games and draw furries. I'm mostly active on Discord and Twitter.

Well, in that case, buy another Potion and throw it at Impetus for her to hold. Done for now.
Want to see some of my cool swords? Well, too bad, right now you only get to see one of them, and it's my avatar. Might set up some kind of gallery/portfolio at some point, though.
Ok fine, I'll take a Phoenix Down and a Potion as well. Done.

Even though nobody mentioned which dungeon they want to go to, there's only the one, so let's start this shit.

The four chosen by the crystals meet up after school to decide on what to do. Fortunately, the Dragon Quest 11 box never woke up from its dream, due to it being an inanimate object, so it is able to lead the rest of them on their quest. The closest crystal shard to their current location is in a sewer. They all go to some nearby stores to stock up on things they need to keep themselves safe, and proceed into the sewers afterward.

Examine the enemy in the third column, first row.

Shield bash [Attack] the first mystic quest lookin' sucker in the bottom row.
Brave once, move to the back row, and shoot the first Brownie in the top row.

Keira uses Examine! The Brownie's stats are posted to the spreadsheet!
Naoi stabs Brownie 2! It takes 47 damage!
Bernie braves once, moves to the back row, and attacks! Brownie 3 takes 53 damage, and is defeated!
The Dragon Quest 11 box attacks! Brownie 6 takes 37 damage!

Brownie 1 punches Keira! He takes 1 damage, hitting the minimum damage cap!
Brownie 2 punches Keira! He takes 1 damage!
Brownie 4 punches the DQ 11 box! It takes 1 damage!
Brownie 5 kicks Keira! He takes 1 damage!
Brownie 6 punches Bernadetta! She takes 1 damage!

I said it before on Discord, but this battle is mainly for me to get used to the formulas. It makes perfect sense that these enemies are too weak to make an impact.
Also, for what it's worth, enemies have rows, too. The two rightmost columns of enemies are in the enemy front row, and any columns further back are in the back row. So, currently, even with Brownie 3 dead, Brownies 1 and 4 are in the back row. When Brownie 6 dies, all enemies will then be in the front row.
