I am slightly confused in what you mean by this. Here is what I think you meant, correct me if I am wrong: It would be a bad idea, because when the hack is passed from person to person to add their part, any one of them could potentialy hog the level and not have it even between all the people who have a part in it.
If this is what you meant, here is my solution: The hack is given to one trusted person, and all the contributers send that one person their hack, specify the ONE piece of a certain level they would want added (with someone on this project deciding upon how many LM screens/the length of each person's part is), and the person who is given the hack will decide on how to arrange the parts. To make it more simple, Each level "part" contributed should be a separate room, mabey with the creators name in a message block somewhere in their small level part/"room".
Alright, here's a breakdown on what's not done:
OW is almost done, just need to add some more level dots.
One or two levels need to be inserted.
Some other blocks and sprites need to be inserted as well.
Credits level is under way (god it takes a while to spell out words!).
Music needs inserted.
Port whole thing to new ROM.

Speaking of this issue, it would greatly help if people gave me a list of the songs used in the levels. Also, if you used regular SMW music, I can put in any song of your choosing within the Custom Music section.

Well, not just any song, but any song in the Custom Music section. You'll need a SPC player such as HBSPC or Winamp to play the files within.

I've sent my musical considerations via PM, but what I wonder if all the original contributers are aware of this question/that this project is still ungoing.
I didn't use any music in mine, but since Initial M is a racing level, I think either Big Blue or Mute City would be appropriate.
For !!!!!!!!!!!!!, either Running Hell, or some dark song.
That is if you have room for those songs, if not, just put in whatever you think works.

Okay by the way, for whoever's doing the hex and stuff...
my level is impossible if you don't hex edit a couple of values. The boss of the level is wendy and you have to stay on a sprite while fighting her. Normally, when Wendy dies, she takes all of the sprites in the room with her, but if that happens in this level, you fall to your death.

Well, I remember one of the things that was being put in that text file being passed around months ago was what custom music you wanted, so if anyone could find that thing I'm sure that could solve the question for whoever actually filled it out. As for whether they know if this is still going on, I guess if they checked the hack discussion forum anymore they'd see this thread mostly near the top, so that should leave most bases covered.
Perhaps PM everyone who was originally in it? Or was that already done?

big news: I AM BACK ON MY OLD COMPUTER!
yeah, everything got fixed up, and now that it's christmas break i will have time to work on the hack!
also, i know a lot of you wanted a last level added to the hack. due to time issues this seemed out of the question for me. then i had a thought: why not scratch the the 'multi-user' level concept, and give the honor over to someone really really mean.
Everyone on youtube seems to hate him because all his hacks are too hard.

Unfortunately for you guys, I think I may be quitting at the last minute for this hack. I'm starting to hate really difficult Kaizo style hacks now, and from what I can tell, this is such a hack. Hacks from YT users are usually bad enough. I REALLY want to go back to hacks that have close to SMW design, not Kaizo. Although those Kaizo style hacks are fun from time to time, I now hate hacks that were made with the purpose to mess people up. AT LEAST a little room for error would be nice.
So, consider this my resignation from the LPer list. Worst case scenario for me is that I LP more hacks I get from downloading here...but I really can't stand any more of these kinds of hacks anymore. Why do hacks have to be so difficult? -_-My Youtube Channel
