Welcome to the SMW Central Creativity Convention of Summer 2021 (that's C3 for short)! I'm your host, Mr. Switchy
You may remember me from being the first ! Switch
you found right at the peak of Yoshi's Island. "How am I here?", you say? Well, that's a story and a half for sure! There I was, sitting there in my palace waiting for the next player to come along and push me, and that darn Kamek
comes along and attacks me with their magic. Well, let me tell you! They thought they had cast a spell to stop other players finding me... Boy, were they wrong! I grew some arms and legs, and I could walk! So, here we are.
To spice up your C3, I've completely Switch Palace-ified the event! I love the joy players get from jumping on me, so I'm here to spread that joy around to everyone! There are eight different coloured ! Switches to find throughout the event. To find them, you will need to make sure you're taking a look at everyone's projects and posting your thoughts in their threads. If you're lucky, then you may see a switch pop up at the top of the page (right inside the countdown box). See one? Click on it to press it!
Anybody who presses a switch will get this distinctive trophy:
If you are a super enough player to find all eight, then the power of the switches you have pushed will turn
Your progress will also be saved.
Switches will keep appearing even if you find all eight, so keep on posting and pressing. Your final tally will appear on your trophy - the more you find, the cooler you'll be!
If you want to know what switches you've hit at any point, head on over to this page!
Now, I must remind you: Make sure you tag your C3 threads with the appropriate tags. If you don't, you'll mess up our high-tech C3 voting system. Don't be that user
that gets it wrong! Remember, you can hold Ctrl to select multiple tags.
We're also doing things slightly differently this time around. The main C3 event is still running for the usual four days. But the extended posting and voting periods are going to be a little shorter. Both will run for three days each
instead of lasting a week. This keeps things fast-paced, C3 does drag on
a little, and I've got to get back to my Switch Palace to help the players get their mushrooms from the yellow blocks.
