Kaizo 3 styled project.

Kaizo/PitSuper Mario WorldDemoScreenshots

Hello, as of recently i've been working on a hack that has been labeled as "Kaizo 3 styled project" as you'd expect the hack is heavily inspired by Kaizo 1,2,and 3, like my other hacks you shall not shocked if this does not come out, anyways I'd like to hear some thoughts and comments on the matter until then see ya!
Woah, very cool. How would you describe the Kaizo 3 style? How did it influence you?

Mainly through level design and the overall feeling.
While I'm no kaizo fan, it looks good. How many levels will your kaizo hack have?
While modern kaizo is all well and good, I have always had an iota of a preference for older-style stuff. The original kaizo trilogy is just that, and I'm glad to see the design style is still going. Good luck with the rest of your project, and hopefully you'll be able to finish it! I'll try to keep an eye on this is you post any more progress.

12 so far.
Ooh, I had fun playing the original Kaizo hacks (with heavy savestate usage though, I was and am still a scrub!)

From the look of the screenshots it's looking great! Definitely gives me Kaizo Mario World vibes! Awesome work!
Looks good

I'm digging your take at a hack inspired by the Kaizo Mario trilogy. I was always this avid fan of utilizing uncanny vanilla ideas to make your own kaizo level, so this is nothing but amazing. Is the level length going to be about the same as the trilogy, as in, not too long?

Can't wait to see the final product!

The levels will be around that same length as the trilogy, also thanks for all the feedback!
Looks good so far at least from what I see from the screenshots. Keep going with your hack.

Thank you!
As others have said I like how the hack could fit in nice with the original Kaizo Hacks with its overall presentation not starting away to far from Vanilla SMW.
I'm not the biggest Kaizo player but I always enjoy watching others play and beat challenging levels. I wish you best of luck getting this finished.

I'm assuming it'll be short in length like the original hacks they are based on? #smrpg{:O}

Thank you and yes the levels will be around that same length.
Oh, that's looking good!
I've always been a fan of old kaizo style more than the so called "modern" kaizo we see nowadays, because it's where it all started and where i started playing kaizo as well. I like my kaizo to be unethical and unforgiving, which is something i've seen not be as much appreciated nowadays xD
So it's great to see there's still room for that in the kaizo scene!

There's not much we can tell from the screenshots, but i'm digging what i see here.

For those wanting to play it you can play the first two levels here
Looks nice, definitely gives out the feel of a classic oldschool kaizo hack, especially the third screen which gives me Ultra Star Return flashbacks, haha.

Is there a specific level of difficulty you're focusing on? Is it going to be brutally hard like Kaizo 3, or is it gonna be a bit more accessible?

I'm going for both.
