For your first C3 contribution, this is pretty incredible! It's a very well-edited trailer.
The level design looks like it borders on Kaizo, which isn't my area of expertise, but things look very well-thought out and interesting to play for those who have the skills. I'm a fan of the graphical style too - it's not your average "vanilla with a twist" but decidedly more experimental and visually interesting, almost reminding my of abstract art.
Not a big thing? What do you mean? This is looking incredible! Nice trailer, I'm enjoying the aesthetics, honestly different from any hack I've seen so far. The gameplay looks fun too, I can't wait for the full release, keep up the great work!
I'm a sucker for wild tilesets made with vanilla graphics and I really like what you're going for here visually, but some areas look a bit jarring to me due to the background being too bright or noisy. The lava place and that one background that uses OW trees, in particular, would benefit a lot from some toning down I think. On the other hand, some areas seem to have multiple types of foreground at once, of which some stand out more than others. Generally the transparent rocks are the hardest to notice (I love them though).
This hack looks like it has a lot of character (although I think some areas are a bit too visually cluttered for my taste). Still, it has a great vibe and looks pretty fun to play. Also, nice editing on the trailer.
I have to agree in that there is an abuse of transparency and decorations in general. In several sections it's even hard to notice what's on the foreground. I loved the aesthetics in general though, it's just that in some levels it seems too much and distracts overall.
This looks like it's going to be a pretty unique romhack with aesthetics. I also would say it gets rather busy at times, it's been effing up with my brain while watching it (the rhythm music didn't help either).
What I have enjoyed most is your palette work, especially the yellow and purple level.
Also I wanted to mention, you might want to add a Kaizo/Pit tag to your thread because from the looks of it, the gameplay is going to be Kaizo.

The aesthetics are so funky I kinda really like the transparent objects found within some of the levels.
The levels themselves look rather challenging which makes it even more impressive to watch them be cleared so flawlessly and precisely.
I'm not big on the harder hacks but what you've made looks pretty cool.
Thanks everyone for the feedback. It’s nice to hear that there are people out there who likes and wants to play it. Everything seen in the trailer isn’t 100% ready so there might be some changes here and there. In general I tried to make it something like a hybrid between a challenging plattformer and a simple Kaizo hack without fancy mechanics. I hope some people try the challenge although Kaizo isn’t their comfort zone
If someone has good ideas for bosses or is able to help me out with that would be super cool …. Otherwise this hack doesn’t have bosses which is a thing I personally don’t have a problem with. But what do you think, is a boss a must have?
