TheMorganah C3 Memorial: ASM, arts, hacks and others memories.

I thought it would be interesting to share some things with the community. Beware: massive post ahead!

C3 ART REQUESTS BACKUP:
Years ago I created what would be the first of many Art Request threads. While i had fun making, i never felt that i did my best because digital art isn't my thing. However, after migrating to Twitter, I decided to save these drawings and keep them in an archive.

UNFINISHED HACKS:
Doing hacks consumes free time and creativity. Unfortunately, free time isn't enough and I no longer had the will to finish some projects.

The Legend of Spooky Nini was the first. The game tells an adventure of 120 exits with my original characters. Funny enough it was my first hack released here (C3 2016).
Download: Click Here.

Star Queen Legends was my second. The main idea was build a hack like SM64: you visit places, hunt stars and fight Bowser in the end. Again, another 120 exit project down.

WIP/UNRELEASED HACKS:
Although I am a busy game developer, I still have some projects that should be done one day. They are:

The Hangover Deluxe is a remake of my first smw hack released here in 2015 rejected 2 times before you know what. The hack will follow the script of the original game with a new level design and OST. Not enough? 2 new submaps, new bosses and a lot of cutscenes. And yes: you play as Mario and Luigi so you can switch characters on map.

Violence Mario is a SMAS arcade where you play as Mario until you meet Bowser. Something happens and then you should play as Luigi because your brother is missing. My goal is to make a memorable game using an aesthetic that few smw hacks have invested in.

I officially post my games on my twitter.
I'll be glad if you check it out anytime.

SHOP BLOCK:

Shop Block made years ago. You can buy powerups and lives with anything: yoshi coins, normal coins, etc. The block is partially compatible with other patches that affect the coin counter. Of course: block is lorom, at least for now.
Download: Click Here.

CUTSCENE MODE:

Example from my entry Forever Young.

This UberASM code is your traditional "press a button to next screen" but way better. Why? Because this code use EVERY screen of the level instead of the first one. This means that you can make a visual novel in Lunar Magic. Features a lot of options as:
- Change fade-in/out speed
- Freeze the timer
- Hide the statusbar
- Hide the player
- Hide/erase the reserve box item
- Trigger normal or secret exits
- Teleport to any map
- Change music of the level for tension
- End level with event
- Skip the cutscene

I hope that my resources will be useful for you.
Happy C3!

These are all really nice I especially like the cutscene mode since thats something a lot of people want to do but hasn't been a lot of good resources to do it until recently.
You know, throwbacks from old years are always enjoyed, specially your art style!
I still need to play legend of spooky nini, so that's another to the "to play" list.

I'm also quite hyped for Hangover Deluxe, since I enjoyed playing the original. Also, didnt you plan to release your rips from Violence Mario?

Anyway, your cutscene mode is very customizable, and I enjoy things like this!
Kirbo was here
So, if anyone is wondering how the Cutscene ASM works, here is a simple example of how I made my fun lore of my Frigid Garden Panic level. This is a screenshot from Lunar Magic:

It hides Mario from view, as well for the powerups and reserve box. Then, you have some nice options in the ASM. In the screen 01, it plays the "Omae wa mou shindeiru" sample that my friend KiloMinimo ripped for me. Then, it will keep scrolling screens, until it detects an exit. Morganah is not joking. You can literally use one level and make a visual novel. I recommend everyone to give a chance to this amazing uberasm. If your hack depends on lore, this ASM will be very useful. Read carefully the customization options.

Also, great job in the hacks and drawing, Morganah. It may not sound like so much, but you inspire me a lot. You helped me a lot to improve in the aesthetics of my SMW hack projects. And well, I tested your shop blocks and they work kinda well.

Thanks! I got this code a while ago and after customizing it with my limited knowledge of ASM I thought it would be nice to make it public.

Thanks! I actually have a private collection of rips but the biggest problem is that most of the files are not intuitive enough to be inserted into other hacks.

good stuff!
"Violence Mario" is one of my favorite names for a game ever
Check out my WIP romhack!
Judging by the screenshots these looks visually nice, i need to try the only one available sometime
I've been keeping an eye on your Twitter stuff for a while. It's all excellent. Your cutscene tech in particular sounds like a godsend.
That's pretty sad you couldn't save all your request art, but at least you have most of it!

Also, those hacks look neat, hopefully you can finish em someday. Violence Mario is definitely an eye-catching name.

Backloggery MyAnimeList
Morganah, these are all amazing! I love the artwork you've done over the years that you've shared. Love the Lady Bow one you did!! All of the hacks that you've shown look like a lot of fun, especially The Legend of Spooky Nini! Sweet ASM resources too, love how customizable and innovative the shop block is. My favorite though is your cutscene asm.. The amount of customization and all of the features you've added in are absolutely incredible! Definitely need to implement this in a hack! You did a fantastic job with all of it!

Also, I love your icon! Animal Crossing is one of my favorite series out there!
I'll have to give that Cutscene UberASM a try as its something I always put off til the end of a hack I'm making as I didn't really have a good way to make them but with this I can make something more substantial.
I can see a lot people getting usage out of this so yeah great work Morganah! #smrpg{mlem}
All these hacks look so visually appealing - great work! #w{<3}

If I can remember correctly, out of 16 lost arts only 3 or 5 were good (like Tenshi In The Beach or something), but you know: a half loss is a total loss. I'm working with external storage now, so is fine.
