I've decided to properly split up stuff from my main thread. I was semi distracted back then and I think it is best to just redo and make this and my other announcement into their own threads.
So for events, having PR staff for posting as such people is fun and all...but what if you could just let bots/AI do that for you?
What if you could easily set up responses based on what is said or pre-planned at a specific date? They could do various things and attempt to act as their own entities with the training you could give them. Well, that's something in the works I would like to announce.
Specifically, it will be something I am developing for planned events and also something fun on the side for a specific forum. Will it be open source or available to others? Not entirely sure yet, but it depends on responses here. If it comes out to being not much at all, then it will likely just be kept private for the time being.
Now then, with that AI in mind...what if I turned a version of my site software, into an actual game? It has been something I've been thinking over for many many years now. You want to leap back in time and experience what it is like for users or staff to keep a site together? Have an actual generated plot? Secrets? Discover a secret forum or plot? Yes, yes, various events generated for you and the ability to also work your way up to staff if you're a good member...or get banned if you're bad.
You can try to live all of such experiences or more with this game. Since the nature of this is as it is, yes it handles multiplayer. You CAN have a private session...but those will be limited, and likely to those who decide to pay some kind of fee (all the AI, hosting, and stuff isn't cheap). Not sure about that yet, but I do want to try a few things.
There can be some game settings, like how likely are AI generated spammers made, various personalities, and of course...various promotion based settings. There's still a couple of things to work out, like assets and designing some cool things that I can't mention here yet.
But I'd like to do something interesting and unique. I even have ideas for a Mafia/Werewolf like mode where you need to find out which user(s) is...trying to destroy the site. But site abilities and whatnot are tied to some resource system. So it will actually add some limitations, especially to "evil moderators/admins" who are on the dark side. But that will be balanced more later.
For now, I will be experimenting with some basics and just using it for event purposes and be fine-tuning in a forum. So it'll sort of be like a chat bot of sorts. But eventually it can do more things. Like interact with available classes/functions of the site.
So if you're interested in testing this, please feel free to let me know here or PM me. I don't have much to show for now...and what I could show is best played than shown, and I want it only available to a select few til it is more ready for the public.
It will more or less be first come, first to be allowed to be invited. I do want to eventually invite more but will likely keep it tested to a localized forum and possibly a test database.
I will likely edit this more later to add some more bits of information. I thank you for reading this over and hope you have a good rest of your C3!
Where I am found.
