Today's picks are...
Bracket I: Xi - Valhalla
Bracket II: Fearofdark - Lovesickness
Bracket III: Andrew Neu - Slipstream
Bracket IV: Lars Danielsson - Passacaglia
And my commentary...
Bracket I was a pretty quick one for me after relistening to the songs. I ended up choosing the one I had voted for previously, especially since as the tourney goes on, some of these are actually getting more memorable to me as time goes on.
Bracket II would be what I consider to be a true Battle of the Bits... 8 versus 32, roughly speaking, and NES vs. modern. Bonus points for similar song names. For this reason, I had to think it over on overall execution. Fearofdark - Lovesickness scored the variety points for its opening and ending over Sammy Sound Team - Scent of Love, and therefore I picked Lovesickness over Scent of Love. Had it not been for the variety points, Scent of Love was actually slightly groovier, however I didn't feel strongly enough about it to give it the win... and yes, I did vote Scent of Love in a preceding preliminary round!
I had previously voted for neither song in Bracket III, so that was an interesting one. I ultimately went with more of a stylistic preference on this one.
For Bracket IV... I had to double check first, but again it was a stylistic preference.

Bracket I: Jordan Rudess - Why I Dream
Bracket II: Men I Trust - Seven (Garage Session)
Bracket III: BANDA MS - El Color de Tus Ojos
Bracket IV: Yasumasa Kitagawa - Partners ~ The Game is Afoot! Let's Dance, my Dear Fellow!!
And my commentary...
Bracket I was an interesting competition. I thought that both songs put up a valiant effort, with Chuck Salamone & Mason Lindroth - Xeno Arcadia bringing up some neat smooth funk and Jordan Rudess - Why I Dream bringing out something a bit faster-paced and more rock-based (but with a bit more variety). I ultimately chose Why I Dream, but it was a good battle here.
For Bracket II, I voted on neither of these songs previously. I decided to vote on the song that sounded more chilled out.
Bracket III was a stylistic preference.
Hmm... for Bracket IV, Lena Raine - Resurrections had its variety pack, although retroactively something feels the same despite this. I ended up favoring Yasumasa Kitagawa - Partners ~ The Game is Afoot! Let's Dance, my Dear Fellow!! because I actually started losing interest in the long run.
