Description: Flat-face Mario and crooked-nose Yoshi are back in this Giga-leak styled retexture by Jonathan Retrogamer. Revisit all your favorite lands in the era before time, collect the big-coins, and go back to the classic nostalgia of Super Mario Bros. 3. Explore over 10 new levels in Star Road and the Special World and defeat Bowser yet again at the top of his tower!

Changes:

-Complete texture overhaul, new Mario, Yoshi, and enemy sprites, including replacement of sprite textures and level backgrounds

-Blue Bird & Lakitu on World Map

-Remixed Star Road/Special World stages

Tweaks from Original:

-Added unused Blue Bird & Lakitu sprites to world map

-Fixed a tiling error on the world map in which whenever two rocks touch they appear in the wrong palette.

Reported Bugs/Inconsistencies:

-Luigi in 2 player does not have a corrected palette as of yet, but 2 player still functions normally

-In Yoshi's Island 2 (and possibly in other stages) a Piranha plant goes behind the bush background tile. This isn't too much of a problem and can easily be fixed in the next version

-Some enemies, such as Dino Rhinos, change color palette depending on their level. This is normal, and it will most likely stay like this.

-The Orcas replace the horizontal dolphins but not the vertical dolphins in Vanilla Secret 3, however the orcas from the gigaleak never had sprites that where vertical so it's the dolphins job now to jump vertically.

-Looking at any trailer of the original version, originally the Yoshi Coin was meant to look like Yoshi. This has been changed to be the standard beta big-coin.
Screenshots:
I'll have to reject the hack with it been mainly the original SMW.

I know that's the whole point and concept of the hack which I do find interesting however only a certain handful of Levels & Sublevels are changed significantly enough for the hack to be accepted on the site.

I remember a user called Yoshi Master making a Beta SMW styled hack way before the "giga-leaks" came about, however with that hack it featured original levels based off of the screenshots and snippets we had of the early builds of the game.

I do realise that latter levels and some sub-areas are changed quite a bit and I do like how the beta elements look when put together. This however doesn't shake the fact that it's still pretty much the same SMW only with a different coat of paint.

Hacks that mainly and only change the graphics were something we used to accept way back on the site however now we don't.
I know there has been a lot of effort put into this so I suggest having it hosted in your File Bin if the original Author allowed you to try and host it here.
