I know SMB3 Hacking contest is approaching but what if SMW Central users can create Kaizo levels using only Smaghetti (and not SMB3 on NES or SNES) which is an online editor for Super Mario Advance 4. Then again, after February 2024 Smaghetti will be archived.

Contestants can create Kaizo SMA4 levels up to 21 days.
In a contest, when the submission period ends, instead of the judging period, first there is a "playtesting" period where there are chosen playtesters that playtest all of the submissions (with video footage) to provide feedback to the contestants, so that everyone has an opportunity to improve their levels. After all of the playtesters finish, there is a short period to modify the submission and after that there is the judging period.

The initial submission period would probably have to be shortened to reduce the time it takes for a contest to finish.
I feel like we kinda got screwed with the smb3 contest the whole purpose of a smb3 contest would be to want some kind of custom graphics someone could make up not just the original vanilla tiles we've all seen a million times. Just my 2 cents , I really thought it was going to be a lot more creative. It's the reason I didn't put much effort into my making level.

One of the purposes of the initial contest being so restrictive was to ease all those folks whose experience is mainly SMW hacking (including us running the contest) into SMB3 hacking, its tools, and what it means to make SMB3 levels. If it was completely unrestricted, way more experienced hackers would run away with the event with chocolate graphics and resources. This way it kept things logistically simple to organize instead of trying to accommodate all the things right away which leaves room for the event to grow if we throw it again.

Hi guys, I'm a bit new here, I was wondering if a high skilled user in here is or was already able to create an A.I. program to generate stages or levels, tracks or whatever they are called by difficulty like easy, medium, hard, super hard etc,. by describing enemy characters and colors to be included in such track that is to be generated and kind of mix from all the Mario games(1,2,3 and world, or Yoshi's island that don't require Yoshi 2 character use or so), I think it should be a very helpful tool for less time and brain consuming when creating them, or if there is already one out there please let me know, like I said I'm new here, Thanks

Firstly this is not even the right thread to ask this question. Please keep your posts in the appropriate forums and threads on the site, and avoid making off topic ones like this. Secondly refer to Site Rule B9.
