thanks for the kind words!! nearing the two year anniversary of starting development now, so it's definitely relieving to see that the hard work is paying off.

hopefully it can defend that title for a while
chonking was something that i implemented super early on, and i always forget how much people enjoy it. it's great
Originally posted by AnorakunI finished a bit of the demo and I loved it. I wasn't able to collect everything, but the movement of your penguin friend is top-notch. It takes a good time to understand, but once I got the flow, it was so much satisfying to see my friend flying all over the place at high speed. It has that kinda of Celeste and Sonic feeling, mixed together. I love our new penguin friend and his soda bottle. I hope you succeed in finishing this project. This game was very delightful and refreshing to play.
i'm glad it gave you good and refreshing platformer vibes! as a lifelong platformer fan, there's a lot of ideas here that i've thought a lot about exploring.
Originally posted by yoshiatomI had fun with this demo! The movement feels great and for a single level, there's already some inventive level design. I'm really interested to see how the gimmicks shown in the final room will get used in the full game (even if I can't launch of ice in the right direction for the life of me).
thanks for playing!!!!! i'm sure i'll be able to put the mechanics present in the hub to good use
btw i playtested with a friend right around the time of posting the thread, and i found out that flinging off of the ice has issues with an analog stick with snapback; releasing the stick would sometimes make an input in the opposite direction prior to the release, and this opposite direction input would override the fling direction. that's been fixed now, but not as a part of the c3 build since flinging wasn't used as a central mechanic in the level.

i would definitely very much like to see more games with uncapped speed and slope physics....
