Hello there, SMW Central members! C3 seemed like an ample opportunity to finally showcase my existence to the world over here, and to do this, I'd like to present my current in-progress SMBX2 episode, Nuclear Fusion.
Following the events of Deeper, a thermonuclear explosion has hit the Mushroom Kingdom, leaving most areas a nuclear waste. This incident was caused by none other than Utsuho Reiuji. Mario must go on a quest to resolve this incident and to revert the Mushroom Kingdom back to its formal glory.
- Approximately 12 to 18 "main" levels, with a bonus special world with an undetermined amount of levels.
- Two boss fights, completely custom coded. One fight with Utsuho Reiuji at the end of the main path, with another fight against a different Touhou character that I cannot reveal as of yet.
- A custom shop system to buy power-ups from as well as extra death sound effects.
- A death counter; lives are useless in this episode.
- Achievements for players to hunt for!

I can't stress this enough though, this project is still very WIP. There's a lot of things I still need to do, and taking in the fact that this is essentially a solo project, Nuclear Fusion will most likely take quite a while. Unfortunately due to my almost non-existent coding skills at the moment, some parts may be quite jank as well.
Also since this project doesn't have very much done on it yet, I don't have a demo for you! I apologize. However if you contact me in the SMW Central Discord and ask for Nuclear Fusion's files, I'll gladly send them to you so you can look around and try out the levels for yourself.
