Halo Mario

Hello SMW folks. I'm about to finish my hack soon and therefore currently in the final testing phase. I noticed that at some point in the game Mario gets a halo above his head when he is in the Overworld. Can someone tell me what's going on and if there's any way to prevent this ... "feature"??? #w{=3}

Did you insert a patch that disables the life counter? Usually the halo appears after a game over or when the life counter is negative. Most likely you forgot to stop it from decreasing.

Insert this as a patch to get rid of the halo:

What you wrote sounded plausible but unfortunately it probably has nothing to do with it - the halo is still there. But from what I've observed, it seems like the halo appears after a specific level. Is there perhaps another reason why the halo is showing up? Some kind of OW- or Level-specific setting or something like that?
