New game eh :p

What I should tell you, the style of the overworld reminds me a little of the one found in "World of Goo"...
It looks really nice.
=)
I deffinitely think I'll play it.
Looks really fun.
=)
I wanted to use my 1000th for a gigantic progress update in my thread.

Even though updates have been scarce, I've been working on my game every weekend.

Anyway, first I'll post the level names in order:
-Grasslands
-Lucid Lake
-Eroded Cave
-Sky Passage
-Vulcapiede
-Magma Channel
-Ash Jungle
-Biocide Desert
-Necropolis
-Murky Marsh
-Blackstone Path
-Mt. Frostshark
-VGWarp Inc.
-Prism Path

Secondly, I'd like to announce that this game has a Save Feature. That's right, no more memorizing/writing down passwords.

Thirdly, here is a new enemy that is exclusive to Mt. Frostshark.

These are special cannons that shoot three different colors of cannonballs at random. Red cannonballs kill you, blue cannonballs freeze you, and purple cannonballs momentarily put your controls into reverse. Here is a screen of the cannon in action:

Now here are some more screenshots:

The purple spikes move in and out of the walls.

This is an extremely difficult level where the entire screen is pitch black, except for an area of light around the player. The Lorbe in the screenshot has light emitting from it, so it can always be seen from the dark.

This level scrolls by itself. Don't get left behind or else you'll die.

That's it for screenshots, but this post isn't over. Here are two virtually original songs being used in my game (There will be more in the game, I just decided to make videos for two of them):

Grasslands Theme:
<object width="445" height="364"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/GKR7NZLQO18&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b&border=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/GKR7NZLQO18&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b&border=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="445" height="364"></embed></object>

Mt. Frostshark Theme:
<object width="445" height="364"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/kcp6s_FUvoo&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b&border=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/kcp6s_FUvoo&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b&border=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="445" height="364"></embed></object>

Lastly, as a bonus, here is a (badly) hand drawn sketch of the game's overworld (I don't have a scanner so I used my webcam for it:

Please comment on the game. It should not be too much longer until release, though there is still a lot of work to be done.
After hours of testing and tweaking, and seven months of development, I'm glad to announce that Chompy's Maze is finally finished. I spent a lot of work on this game, so if you play it, please post what you think.

(Also, I fixed the download links yesterday since Filefront deleted my files for some reason)
Your download doesn't work.freewebs.com/kingklepto2/chompys%20maze.exe
I'll give some more feedback once I finish playing it.
I'm very fond of the music but it seems a little repetitive at times. The map kinda' clashes with the rest of the game's graphic style.
The sprites are awesome too.
I think your level design really stands out and is very good.

Copy and paste the url and it should work.
I am just posting to announce that Chompy's Maze is being hosted at Yoyogames.com. The link is in the first post so it should be easier to access the game.
I am contemplating the idea of making something completely different from Chompy's maze and all of my other games. Here's a screen I made of an idea I have (PLEASE NOTE THAT A BETTER SCREENSHOT THAT WASN'T A FIVE MINUTE HACK JOB IS BEING USED INSTEAD OF THIS IMAGE):

Point and click horror games nothing new, of course, but I am going to possibly make one because it seems that it will be fun to make, and it will let me play around with photoshop a bit. The idea came to me from playing some flash games revolving around horror point and click games. I'm going to actually put effort on graphics and a storyline, unlike my other games.
Your stuff looks great, average. But I must point out 2 things.

1: Only one FG? What stops you from using more than that? And besides, are you able to do slopes or something? That would be great.

2: Some of your pictures are pixelated and not very pretty, that is. I suppose you're using Paint? You should definitly use GIMP. Gimp has transparency features and it helps a lot the pixelisation problems. But Gimp is a lot more than that, acually. You just need a couple minutes to understand how it works.

1. I use a different colored FG for each level. Too lazy to add slopes.
2. I use Paint.net, Paint, and Fireworks for the graphics in my game. Can you point out an example of it being pixelated?

Here is a washroom scene in Gherott (My newest project, read first post for more informaton):

I'm taking pictures of my family members and "gorifying" them.

I mean, isn't it obvious? Looks like you butched it.

Also, a certain amount of things doesn't melt perfectly. The smiling ball (?) for exemple.

Hey, what does the "Don't Click Here" button do at Magma Caverns?
If you click it, it has the same effect as running into a spike ball.

Microsuicide is a platformer that shamelessly rips off of IWBTG and the Karoshi for the lulz. The goal of the game is to kill yourself in 90 fun, but frustrating levels, but the game has a bunch of tricks and traps that you must avoid. Story, controls, and more are explained in game in the How to Play section. When you're in game, press "Q" to return to the Main Menu.

The game's in a .zip that has the actual game, the official walkthrough (With images, diagrams, and lulz), and some other extra stuff. Download it here!

Please post your comments here, or I will hold this random kitten hostage:

How can a IWBTG remix in which you have to kill yourself be hard at all? I mean... It's already hard NOT TO DIE... Unless those traps make it nearly impossible to NOT DIE...

The game is only slightly influenced by IWBTG. It's not an IWBTG remix (It's not nearly as difficult as IWBTG), and the game is trickier than the screenshots give it credit for.
Well, assuming those smiling boxes make you invincible, and that you don't have double jump, it seems hard.
